@Abbysmilkers421@Rickie99_@VoteHub What qualifies a wage? Are you paying more than what stuff worth or they are asking for, at the grocery store? Or to any subscription service?
๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@EdaClawthorne2@Rickie99_@VoteHub Yes - US, especially Oklahoma, is so socialist. How can they are not defending dumb minimum wage laws? Must be a foreigner.
@ROBandGB@everydayraven@Okla_Hombre Funny thing is country wide only less than 1% of workers actually work on a fed min rate. That is straight from bls own data.
@jared_skers@Kydwykkyd101@electionsjoe Because that would mean market distortion. If tomorrow economy become more productive, the min wage will increase automatically. But if the economy turns south, having an ability to reduce wages incl. min wage is crucial to attract capital to make it more productive again.
@leantruck@jericho681@electionsjoe Honestly he has the right. But only when he uses his onw money to pay for it. Then everyone uses their vibes to offer and demand wages openly. And viola, we have the labor market that fixes the price. And itโs already in place - hence no need of min wage floor bs.
@Garreeto@nightlight7001@PollTracker2024 1. Then why not $1 mil / hr rate to become the richest country? That should be easy for any country to do.
2. Stop using the word money supply to make your argument sound intelligent. The inflation mechanism for min wage increases is about supply reduction, not money supply.
@nightlight7001@PollTracker2024 2/2
Mexican President has little control over their economy. Itโs not their minimum wage increase but the sheer manufacturing capital moving there that can afford a better wage for skilled labor.
Again, if poverty can be removed by min wage laws, there wouldnโt be any poverty.
@nightlight7001@PollTracker2024 What? I just hope you are not talking about personal productivity in a sense where workers just work harder with passion due to higher wage. True productivity comes from the capital investment, ie business getting a car for food delivery instead of bicycle. 1/2
@realJohnScar@electionsjoe Brother, it is genuinely hard to hire anyone below 12-13 bucks an hour in OK. Less than 1% workers get minimum wage.

@imnotpopulist@electionsjoe Itโs not unless you beleive that 99%+ who are making it above the minimum wage is not meaningful number.
Also, I will bet that vast majority of that 1% is not getting paid the min wage for regular work but special cases.
@nightlight7001@PollTracker2024 Itโs a very different mechanism. Those higher wage (incl. min. wage) states are not rich because of randomly set higher minimum wage but due to higher worker productivity. And kudos to them for it. If all it takes to set up minimum wage to be rich, 3rd world should do it today.
@Garreeto@nightlight7001@PollTracker2024 Common sense is really missing in you my friend.
Take 10% and burn it to reduce the money supply? ๐คก ๐คก
I have no idea where you learned (if at all) economics. You should definitely ask for your tuition money back, dummy.
@imnotpopulist@electionsjoe Sorry, but have too to wake up folks who are living in a dream or something.
Government own data says less than 1% work at minimum wage. So not an hyperbole.
