The Music Department is a home. The Music Department is a sanctuary. The Music Department is a safe space. The Music Department is a meeting place. The Music Department is a happy place. The Music Department is a necessary space. The Music Department is an important space.
Music provides balance. It provides inspiration. It provides joy. It provides comfort. It provides a voice. It provides expression. It provides meaning. It provides connection. It provides hope. Music Education provides so many things, and they’re all so vitally important.
Custodians of SD61 have some of the longest runs in the province. That means they have the most square footage they're responsible for. This was before the cuts & now they have more & more being added to their list of things to do in a day. This is not reasonable. #sd61quotes
Band helps people get through school and life. Choir helps people get through school and life. Orchestra helps people get through school and life. Music ensembles of all shapes and sizes help people get through school and life. You can’t put a price on the importance of music.
People need music for entertainment. People need music for comfort. People need music for expression. People need music for connection. People need music for relief. People need music for remembering. People need music for dreaming. People need music because it makes life better.
I love being a music teacher. I love seeing the joy music brings to people. I love seeing the friendships music brings to people. I love seeing the comfort music brings to people. I love seeing music bring out the very best in people. I love it. It’s such an amazing thing to do.
As I reflect on the year, my mind is drawn to the power of music. The power of music to bring people together, to bring joy to people, to provide an escape for people, to provide comfort for people, to bring out the best in people. Music holds an invaluable place in our lives.
Teachers-are so important to the success of our world—OUR WORLD. They do so much and need to be PAID FOR THEIR INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS. I remember all my teachers and what they brought to my life.
Music can help a young person through school. Music can help a young person realise they’re good at something. Music can help bring friends into the life of a young person. Music can help provide a young person with a much needed safe space. For many young people, music is vital.
