Quick thread on the ANU modelling being reported this morning that has some scary numbers of deaths being projected if we 'open up' at 70% vax coverage.
It looks very scary.
But it's not a model that resembles the reality of what any authority in Australia is proposing. 1/
@ServicesGovAU I’ve been trying to get a Medicare number for my newborn for more than 4 months - filled in the online form twice, emailed and called - phones too busy and always say call back later, I never even get into the queue. Any suggestions of how I can get this resolved?
How good is this? They know.
This is a country where they've had 3 long periods of lockdown and >120k deaths from COVID.
Without vaccines, they wouldn't be sitting (standing) in that stadium.
The pandemic has shown how valuable our clinician scientists are - there so many ways to contribute to better health, across the specialties. These events are always so inspiring 💪
