Brandon Clarke has passed away at the age of 29.
Originally from Vancouver, the 6-8 forward played college ball at San Jose State and Gonzaga. The Grizzlies selected him with the 21st pick in 2019, and he spent his whole NBA career with Memphis. He became well known for his spirited defense and strong finishing ability at the rim. Sending love to Brandon's family and the Grizzlies franchise.
RIP, BC. 🙏🕊️
I’m absolutely heartbroken to hear this news. Brandon Clarke was a gentle giant and an amazing man that I met when he was at SJSU. Brandon went from barely being recruited to earning his way to the NBA. My condolences and prayers to his mother and family. Good man gone too soon.
Believe this is one of the last times we spoke with Brandon Clarke.
He presented a $1,500 check to KIPP Collegiate School last September through his foundation as part of the "ARISE2Read" campaign.
A good dude through and through.

I remember talking to Brandon Clarke last season about playing for Canada.
He never got the chance but was very eager to in the future. Real nice dude.
This tip-out is my favorite individual basketball play ever. Rest in peace to Brandon Clarke. Thinking about his teammates today. There are endless pictures of them with Brandon smiling and embracing. I hope they can find some peace, along with his family.
