@internisus I haven't tried this game, but if you like 2D spider physics I recommend Webbed. It's a lot of fun (and has some optional parts to test your skill/patience).

@thatsgoodweb There's a Garbage Pail Kids image very similar to the vivisection one. Likely coincidence rather than inspiration, I guess. It's a little macabre so I won't embed it. https://t.co/JuWnsnleve
My first computer was a Commodore 64 and I'm not well-versed in ZX Spectrum games. But I'm still surprised that I'd never heard of Soft & Cuddly until just recently because I've always watched out for unusual games. I wonder what others I've missed.

@vg_history I wonder how many people actually registered this to get the sequels. As a kid, I remember thinking they were prohibitively expensive for what you'd get. But good for them for putting out a game that spread as much as this one did.
@pugfuglygames Recommended indie game #024(b): Alien Death Mob, also by Pug Fugly Games. It's a flashy, fast-paced twin-stick shooter. At the moment you can get it and Destructivator 2 for next to nothing on Itch or Steam.

@pugfuglygames. This game makes me nostalgic for old tiny-character-in-a-big-world games while also taking advantage of modern design sensibilities.

Recommended indie game #018(b): Teocida, also by vikintor (@vf_vikintor). Another puzzle platformer that resembles Tamashii in some ways and is even more packed with bizarre horror imagery.

Recommended indie game #028(b): Critters for Sale, also by @sonoshhh. A very odd visual novel/point-and-click adventure hybrid with horror elements.

Recommended indie game #028: Rym 9000 by Sonoshee. I can't get anywhere in this game (I barely reach the second stage) but I like it.

@ianbobmorris@ajmkenyon2002@JanelleCShane This is one reason I find the technology so compelling. The way the AI combines elements into a cohesive "narrative" also strikes me as quite dreamlike at times.
@GoldenAxeDoom @TetroniMike DALLΒ·E is very good at producing unsettling imagery with the right prompts. These are just the tip of the iceberg, really.
