BREAKING: Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor sounds the alarm about Donald Trump — says our nation's founders were "hellbent on ensuring that we don't have a monarchy" and we could "lose our democracy."

She really didn't hold back this time...

Sotomayor said that the "first way" the founders devised to avoid the ascent of a monarch was "to give Congress the power of the purse."

She made the remarks at Miami Dade College in Florida.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been working around the clock to undermine our system of checks and balances by unilaterally gutting agencies and systems that Congress voted to fund. It's a blatantly illegal power grab.

Sotomayor said that she maintains hope "that other actors in the system, whether it’s Congress or others, will follow the law, because it’s what we all take an oath of office to do."

However, she's understandably concerned that court orders will be ignored in the short term. By ramming through illegal executive orders, Trump can cripple and gut federal organizations while the legality is battled out — or he could try to outright ignore the decisions of the courts.

"Court decisions stand whether one particular person chooses to abide by them or not," said Sotomayor. "It doesn’t change the foundation that it’s still a court order that someone will respect at some point."

She said that the court has faced challenges in the past and the system has been "tested" but thankfully the country "by and large" has "understood that the rule of law has helped us maintain our democracy."

She also warned against the Supreme Court overturning well-established precedents — something that the right-wing justices have become more willing to do, with the very notable example of overturning Roe v. Wade.

"We must be cognizant that every time we upset precedent, we upset people’s expectations and the stability of law," said Sotomayor. "It rocks the boat in a way that makes people uneasy about whether they’re protected or not protected by the law."

"We’re going to lose our democracy," said Sotomayor, unless Americans and "particularly" young people take steps to inform themselves well and combat the misinformation chaos created by the rise of the internet.

BREAKING: Kamala Harris' campaign goes for the jugular and mockingly tells Donald Trump to "man up" and face her in a debate as he waffles back and forth on it.

And it gets even better...

"He’s got no problem spreading lies and hateful garbage at his rallies or in interviews with right-wing commentators. But he’s apparently too scared to do it standing across the stage from the Vice President of the United States," said Harris for President co-Chair Cedric Richmond.

"Since he talks the talk, he should walk the walk and – as Vice President Harris said earlier this week – say it to her face on September 10. She’ll be there waiting to see if he’ll show up," Richmond added.

Trump recently told Fox News hack Maria Bartiromo that he's "leading in the polls" and is unsure if he should debate since "everybody knows her, everybody knows me." It's worth noting that Harris is beating him in many of the polls.

Clearly, Trump is terrified to face Harris. She's a former prosecutor and he's a convicted felon. She would dismantle him on stage and he knows it.

Harris herself has said that Trump should "say it to my face" and debate her. Her confidence is apparent.

The Democratic National Committee has also announced plans to begin slamming Trump as "afraid to debate," which will get right under his infamously thin skin.

This is a lose-lose situation for Trump. If he agrees to debate he'll get crushed, in no small part because Harris has the upper hand on the all of the issues. If he refuses to debate he'll look like the coward he is.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court makes one of its worst rulings in history and repeals the 1984 Chevron precedent — opening the flood gates for corporations to trash the environment, public health, and the workplace.

And it gets so much worse...

The ruling undos a rule that required American courts to give deference to federal agencies when creating regulations based on laws that could be interpreted as ambiguous.

"In one fell swoop, the majority today gives itself exclusive power over every open issue — no matter how expertise-driven or policy-laden — involving the meaning of regulatory law. As if it did not have enough on its plate, the majority turns itself into the country’s administrative czar," wrote liberal justice Elena Kagan, who voted against repealing the rule.

"In every sphere of current or future federal regulation, expect courts from now on to play a commanding role," wrote Kagan. "It is not a role Congress has given them. … It is a role this court has now claimed for itself, as well as other judges."

She added that the conservative majority on the court "disdains restraint, and grasps for power."

Astonishingly, the precedent the Republican justices overturned is one of the most cited in American law. It underpins 70 Supreme Court decisions and around 17,000 rulings from the lower courts.

The Food and Drug Administration expects a slew of new lawsuit due to the court's decision ranging from challenges to their powers over tainted food to deciding whether or not certain drugs are safe. The tobacco industry is also expected to pounce.

"This is disastrous for public health. This is disastrous for the critical role of science-based regulatory agencies," said a former F.D.A. associate commissioner and tobacco division director Mitch Zeller. "Chevron has worked well for half a century and makes a lot of sense."

Once again, the conservative judges have sided with corporate profits over the well-being over the American people. They don't care what these companies do to us as long as the shareholders (and MAGA donors) are pleased.

By undoing such a bedrock precedent the court is once again making it clear that they don't care about the law. The conservatives on the court are right-wing activists working to enact the Republican Party's plutocratic agenda. They must be stopped.

With a few simple, clear arguments Biden will be able to dismantle Trump on his signature issue, immigration, and lay out his plan for a brighter, better America.

And that's just one topic. Biden has also built a thriving economy, restored America's standing in the world, stood up to Putin, passed a slate of historic legislation, and so much more.

The comparison is no comparison. Vote blue!

BREAKING: Donald Trump gets crushing news as retail giant Kohl's refuses to sponsor ANY Republican National Convention events in their home town of Milwaukee where they opened their first store in 1927.

The rationale is not hard to untangle. At the RNC convention in Milwaukee, Donald Trump will become the first convicted felon in American history to receive the presidential nomination of a major party. The Republicans are proudly advertising themselves as a criminal organization.
