@olsonplanner The biggest challenge for me was staying on budget. I was real easy to spend money when you’re off, making up for the full week you worked. Gets real expensive when you have a 7 day weekend.
@olsonplanner Take any and all opportunities to negotiate. Always work to better yourself and your position. Fight for your own value, no one else will. If they say no, you know where you stand and can make informed decisions from there.
@emily_fri It takes a few years, but eventually it feels like a normal part of the process. If you make good decisions, then your ownership feels less intense, tinctured by the thought, that you are always trying to do right by the patient.
@nursekelsey 36-39 hours, multiple times on a month long surgical intern rotation. I would be so exhausted after the shift that I couldn’t fall asleep for a few more hours. The good old days 🤮
Amazes me that people still don’t get it. Health insurance companies don’t care about you. They want to extract money from your healthy body until you are no longer healthy, then they want you to die as quickly as possible so they can focus on other money producing bodies.
