Given that I'm newly laid off, going to try to post through it https://t.co/tjFlTg4vWg
Hope it will be more - "here's something interesting I learned" and less "LinkedIn hustle-posting," but I'll let you be the judge of that.

"Coasean democracy" – empowering locals to decide on new housing, infrastructure, energy, prisons, and more near them – is the alternative to vetocracy, and the solution to Britain's sclerosis.

Hats off to the P/E lobby! After all these years and budget crises, the highest paid people still pay the lower capital gains tax on earnings from their labor. I agree their activity helps the economy, but so does the labor of truck drivers, teachers and construction workers!
My latest: Yoko and Clint Tan wanted to turn their wildly popular Noodle in a Haystack ramen pop-up into a San Francisco restaurant — but now they’ve spent $100,000, endured a permitting nightmare and still have no opening date. They regret ever trying. https://t.co/oO0UG1CEus
@gladstein That doesn't seem to be the case, instead all of the largest richest economies (e.g. UK, JP, FR, etc.) are also able to fund large structural deficits through sovereign currency denominated debt. Why is that and how does it relate to these claims?

@willbardwell @shanebacon @BruceCupcake I've done ~9 hours for Bandon from San Francisco multiple times. It's a lot, but no regrets at all. Drive is beautiful. Will do it again in the future. Think 11 hours wouldn't be that much worse. It's basically a full travel day on either side of the golf at that point.
