On our very first date, @EricHinsdale and I went to see “Moonstruck.” Tonight, 35 years later, at @FilmStreams Dundee Theater, we got to relive history.
It hasn’t been a great mushroom hunting year. Not enough rain. Or maybe just bad luck. But the upredictability is part of what I love about foraging. It’s like with mail. Some days there's nothing but junk in your mailbox. Then one day there it is: your book. And it’s beautiful.
I could go on and on and on about how much @OblongBooks means to my family, to the whole dang Hudson Valley and beyond. They do so much to support me and other local authors, and I'd love it if you could help me support them in this crucial time. https://t.co/2seu1ZhT75
All those days and months and years of fearing my book would never be a book are over because, guess what, it has a cover! A super awesome cover designed by the super awesome @Inkymole. Also a pub date--August 2020. Two pretty reliable signs that it is--or will be--REAL.
A gorgeous performance of the piece my daughter wrote for the NEO Voice Festival in Los Angeles. The lyrics are adapted from a Finnish folktale about the origin of music. https://t.co/uqTsPR5ma3
In 2014 I dedicated my book POISONED APPLES to my daughter Claudia, and five years later she has composed a piece using text from one of the poems as lyrics. Last Saturday I got to hear it performed at @oberlincollege by four stunningly gifted vocalists. https://t.co/xKNs50JKDU
