To sum up: RUS/Putin have invaded their neighbor, assassinated the biggest domestic political threat, coopted one of the right's biggest media stars, and seeded a fabricated story about the US President that was echoed by GOP congressional leadership & rightwing media en masse.
“I have to go back.” Speaking just before he returned to Russia, Navalny told me: “I don’t think that I can have such a privilege of being safe in Russia, but I have to go back, because I don’t want this group of killers [to] exist in Russia. I don’t want Putin ruling Russia.”
"Putin killed Navalny. Let's be crystal clear about that... Putin killed Navalny because he was the one opposition leader in Russia that Putin feared the most."

The Baltimore Sun's new owner, David D. Smith, met with staffers today for more than two hours. Many left on edge.
He claimed he had read the paper just four times. He grew up here; his family's local TV empire - Sinclair - is based in Baltimore Co.
Other highlights:
We’ve been explaining this to republican voters all along. The GOP doesn’t want to solve border or any other problems to make their lives better. If they do their grievances against democrats will run out.
No president EVER personally enriched himself more while in office than Donald Trump. And mostly, in his case, from foreign cash. I don’t want to hear another peep about bogus Biden allegations. Game, set, match. Move on.
Donald Trump’s businesses received at least $7.8 million from foreign entities while he was president.
Yet Republicans in Congress will say nothing, all while accusing President Biden of the same — without evidence.
Their brand: willful blindness and hypocrisy.
This is happening. This is the most concerning thing on my radar right now.
What's happening here is more dangerous than anything Trump is putting on social media...in my opinion.
I have no answers as to why this is not being treated like the three-alarm fire that it is. (There may very well be ongoing investigations...but)
The fact that Steve Bannon is out there still doing his daily podcasts...priming the loons to do horrible things, and Mike Flynn is running around doing his thing...for three long fucking years after the Jan 6th insurrection...and just nine months from the 2024 election they are talking about...is simply not acceptable.
Damage is being done. Minds are being polluted. National security is being compromised even further.
They have already accepted they can't win the 2024 election. They did that long ago. They are planning to take it...by force.
I'll have much to say about this in upcoming Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter issues. The link is in my profile.
Please subscribe. You'll want to hear what I have to say, and X isn't the place to say it.
As we approach the third anniversary of the January 6th terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol, expect a torrent of rage from Trump and his allies, but the truth remains; in the last 30 years, two men planned terrorist attacks on the U.S. Capitol: Trump, and Bin Laden.
1ST PLACE 🏆: Finally, the ad that touched audiences by showing what it means to be an American, a beacon of hope for democracy, and why we should be proud of that. 1st place in #TheAbes category, "Fighting Fascism" is overwhelmingly, "Our Flag".
Anti-Life Pillen says spending $300,000 to get 18 million to feed kids costs too much but Pillen spent 3 times as much on a publicity stunt “The Governor’s Office confirmed the nearly $1 million cost of Pillen’s border-related deployments “
What a total ridiculous set of #NeLeg rules being pushed by one of the radical Republicans.
Erdman’s proposals:
-close executive sessions to members of the media -remove requirements that the Redistricting Committee have leaders who are members of opposing political parties
Fewer than 1 in 60 accounts that see this record of Democrats' achievements in 2023 are reposting it.
If you want to win the propaganda war, you can't be silent about the truth.

The more we all think about cruelty of @jim_pillen not accepting 18 million in federal funds to help kids, the more it’s just like what Johanns and Heineman did on mental health facilities. They say the “community” will solve the problems and then no real $ to make that happen.
