Quickly, though, instructional coaches partner with teachers to identify a powerful student-focussed goal. Then, together, they identify an effective teaching strategy to use to hit the goal. Usually the first attempt doesn't work, so many adaptations are made until the goal is hit. The goal functions as a standard for excellent implementation.
