@johnstepper Yes, 2020 print, with the blue cover. Having been on a coach for 7 hours today, over two trips, I’ve devoured the majority of the book. Final chapter to read and then looking to start a circle for the second time (I already strongarmed one of my last circle to return)
Reading (again) Working Out Loud by @johnstepper. Having fallen into an amazing job role with a brilliant team by sheer luck, then spent a year building my ‘social capital’ through conversations and sharing my knowledge, I feel a deeper connection with the themes this time.
@jasonkitcat@benunsworth @jukesie @katybeale@stevedesigner I’m gratified to see this recognised at director level. I work in a ‘technology’ (network infrastructure) team within my organisation’s ‘x Digital’. We’re in a different building to the main digital office but there’s a larger gap between us than the 400 metre walk!
@Wiltsgal Also, big fan of your tweetnotes. I've tried to do weeknotes on a couple of occasions and I always end up forgetting about it for an extended period. Like the last 3 months or so this time...
Opportunities for people keen on #ModernCivilService - I've had enough contact with @Wiltsgal to know that she's a leader who is constantly striving for innovation and improvement.
These are brilliant roles working in a fantastic team.
If you want to help SMEs become potential suppliers to Defence and Security organisations;
If you want to help Defence organisations innovate and adopt innovations, then these are your real chances to make a difference 👇
@Wiltsgal Well, if memory serves me correctly (which is getting less likely by the day it sometimes seems) I first interacted with you on DC coming up to ten years ago I expect, as a kind of OG keeper of the "things can change" faith. Nothing over the years has changed that perception.
If you are concerned about todays news that "elite SAS soldiers face jail if they refuse to salute MOD Civil Servants" then you'd be a fool not read the Pinstripedline blog today on the case for MOD Civil Service Equivalency.

What does the alert look and sound like? 🚨
Emergency Alerts will appear on the home screen of your device and you will hear a loud siren-like sound and feel a vibration for up to 10 seconds.

If memory serves me correctly, James Acaster established that you can’t argue with someone who uses the “word shmord” format. Therefore this is the correctest answer there ever has been!
@Sashylee@adhdjesse Creator shmeator.
I love how the question is always phrased: is gif pronounced gif or jif.
I think the question answers itself in the framing!
@SuperSimple365@Lesley_wolan@johnstepper You’re in luck, I’ve already been on this months. Although I could do with a deadline like that to focus me on tackling the reading backlog taking up the corner of my desk!
Nine more working days, split by a week off, before two eagerly awaited moments - Bloodstock music festival, followed by first day in a new job. Now, what chance I’ll make it through this massive to-do list prior to departure from my current role?…
