@TCBPubHealth Apparently, there is some confusion about what is defined as a group, specifically in sports environments? Also, defining social distancing in the context of contact sports (football, soccer, etc). Are 20 soccer players on a field playing a game social distancing?

@jonjohnson @THEChrisKessell In our area, it is more predatory with the "rich" clubs skimming the cream from the smaller clubs and fragmenting the development pyramid... in some cases, better services lure the family away but in other cases, it just empty promises...

@jonjohnson @THEChrisKessell @jonjohnson Curious about the hierarchy if any in the Sussex set-up. Are there a large number of smaller clubs (grass-root focused) that feed older or better players into larger clubs or is it pretty flat with every club developing all ages?

@FCDrewCampbell @kasiakosek @jonjohnson @ricky_powers3 Agree with this, before U12-U14 everyone should play keeper. Sometimes you get the kid that wants to be a keeper so they get more time at that position, but at these ages, they also need the field time as well to work on footwork.

@FCDrewCampbell @NickThomasJCHS @davisjsn Unfortunately in our state, soccer has become a year-round class and takes a fall and spring course in a 4 class semester. They call it PE to circumvent the HS sports rules. Now kids go to college with 8 semesters of PE on the transcript and get a year of substandard coaching

For Christmas my 9 year old asked for a pair of goalkeeping gloves so he could be like #DavidDeGea
Knowing Kai cant wear ANY gloves this seemed almost impossible to achieve. As his mum this genuinely broke my heart (1)

@ThatCroatianGuy @JoeDeMay It became clear to me that the instructors weren’t there to teach. They were there for testing. Quickly began seeking knowledge and instruction elsewhere (United Soccer Coaches, etc).
