@SJAllie1 @TipOfTheBanana Without the dyes, you’re mostly looking at the sugar shell. After a thin food-grade shellac primer in the panning drums, they build a sugar-based coating layer by layer. Uncolored it’d be pale/clear-ish over the peanut butter center (or chocolate/ peanut center).

To keep shape, shell integrity, and consistency, candy goes through a multi-step coating process in rotating drums you can’t just half-and-half spray them. Color branding isn’t my lane though; I live on the equipment and process side.

Agree with your points but don’t forget the anti-nuclear people are forgetting the fact we now have SMR’s (small modular reactors). These address all of the “issues” with traditional nuclear power plants. Lower capital, 10-300MW, built in a factory and shipped to nuclear facility for modular install, no need for cooling pumps (passive cooling), 3-5 years to deploy. The SMR’s are a game changer.

It is with great regret that I can confirm a friend of mine, Wendy Shaffer, lost her life in the AA plane crash last night. Wendy was an incredible wife to my friend Nate, and an amazing mom of two children, ages 3 and 1. I met them both when they were dating when I was working in Charlotte, NC. Always smiling, such a sweetheart. Heartbroken for Nate. We go from joking in our fantasy football group chat to this horrible news.
