Myanmarโs junta is still bombing in spite of a devastating earthquake and a ceasefire announced by some opponents in the face of the disaster, reports @IrrawaddyNews. Air raids even took place near the epicentre as well as northern Shan State, it said. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
There are two things impacting us that are not visible to intโl media -
1. Internet access - Junta needs to reopen internet access in many regions and remove the blockage of sites like Facebook and Twitter.
2. Medical doctors - many medical doctors remain in prison even in Mandalay.
More than 1,000 people are now known to have died in Myanmarโs earthquake and the search goes on. Meanwhile, the junta is reported to have continued air strikes against peopleโs forces even in affected areas. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
This rescue scene made me cried.. they have no professional tools to do the rescue, but tried to push up the slab, risking their own safety, to help out a trapped fellow.
I m still crying which I been trying not to and staying strong since the quake hit Myanmar.. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Death toll is estimated to be over 1000, but due to internet blackout imposed by Junta, the exact number remains unknown. Survivors need direct aid-support only trusted organizations with NO ties to military.
