@Suburbanbella True - but just because a patient requests a physician does not mean they will get one. And they can certainly refuse evaluation by anyone. But there is no “right” to see an MD.
@MaaShealth@Suburbanbella All fine, but there is still no “right” to obtain an evaluation by a physician. You can request it, and if you can pay for it you can get one, but the only right to medical care in the US is under EMTALA, which only mandates an MSE, does not specify by whom.
@DGlaucomflecken I am amazed there are people defending the CMGs, particularly those backed by private equity. They are largely illegal under unenforced corporate practice of medicine laws and exist to squeeze every dollar out for investors through surprise billing, cutting salaries and staffing.
