We reviewed this in our IRA modeling, but it highlights why assuming all land offered at auction for O&G development leads to production & GHGs is wrong, & why that part of IRA is more benign than feared.

Up and down the Atlantic coast, an increasingly vocal & coordinated movement is spreading baseless claims that offshore wind development is killing whales. In some intrepid reporting, @bstorrow unpacks the truth--and the money--behind these lies:

cannot find a single electrician who's willing to actually evaluate EVSE. this is wildly frustrating. any suggestions, #energytwitter? (particularly if you're near DC)
I’ll continue to use Twitter as my main social media platform for energy-climate as well, and hope others will step up to plant a flag. The community we’ve cultivated here now for 10+ yrs is too important to let disintegrate due to bad behavior of others.
@AlexNowrasteh zero to one was infinitely easier than one to two for my family. I'm sure a pandemic and quieter life contributed, but one felt completely manageable, even when it was hard. two was chaos and a constant feeling of ineptitude. 6 months later and we're just coming out of it.
@apoorv_bh89 there's no topical search function! it's entirely personality-driven by design so I just can't see it taking off for wonks or news junkies (and they don't really want it to!)
@guy_public love this. are most electricians comfortable doing basic EVSE assessments or do I need to call around to find someone who knows this stuff?
the stranded asset problem is real. have been charging my PHEV on a nissan leaf charger the last owner of our home installed. worked great! until it didn't. help me, #energytwitter!
@LarryChretien yep, absolutely. we just do lots of short trips during the day (single vehicle household) and appreciate the quicker charge when possible.
