Motivation Monday! One thing I wish my students knew is how much I care about them. Sometimes I lose sleep worrying about them and many nights I go home wondering if they are also going home to a warm house (especially with this cold weather). #cmstweets@cmslakers
Day 20: My favorite co-op learning strategy is small groups/peer teaching! Break a large concept into small parts, spread those parts among small groups, and allow those groups to explain their understanding to the rest of the class will increase buy-in! #cmstweets@cmslakers
Day 20: we are learning small groups for cooperative learning is the most successful for our large classes. We have large numbers in 3 hours and there is more accountability in small groups. @cmslakers#cmstweets
Day 7: quality work can be shaped so many ways. Seminars are one of my fav ways to engage students in thoughtful discourse. These @cmslakers really nailed it yesterday!
Day 18: sitting in class, about to begin our next section of “Toucjing Spirit Bear” by Ben Mikaelsen when I see an @cmslakers wearing this sweater. On accident, she was repping the setting of our amazing book. #happyaccident
Day 13: CMS is an amazing place to work because of the people. How lucky am I to work with my best friends who all share the same goals for greatness! @cmslakers make coming to work so so fun! #cmstweets
Day 18: My students finished Chapter 1 of The Outsiders today!!! So much good discussion and connecting to characters! Can't wait for the next 4 weeks! @cmslakers#cmstweets
Day #18: I didn’t snap any photos, but something great students did today was be brave with a new medium. Shading with white charcoal is tricky! @cmslakers#cmstweets#ilikepanera
Day 18: I was a fill in for the Agriculture ACI's trip to the LCTC Ag Building and those kids, educators and the program as a whole is outstanding. They are teaching those kids some cool stuff and we enjoyed visiting down there. #cmstweets@cmslakers
Day 17: You should follow ALL of my colleagues....but I've really enjoyed reading @amyatler_cms and @ENelson326's tweets during this challenge. powerful stuff! @cmslakers
Day 16: one thing I wish students knew/understood was that we want what is best for them. When we redirect them and they get offended it's because we expect a lot out of them and know they are capable. #cmstweets@cmslakers
Day 15: We engage with community members and parents in education through email, the BAND app and social media. Coaching requires a special relationship and form of communication with parents and the community. The BAND app is our favorite! #cmstweets@cmslakers
