As someone who pre-pandemic did the work of making sure every student on my caseload (100 students--small) had a summer plan--- this work NEEDS to start in Jan/Feb in order to be successful and it takes a TON of time. May is just too late.

In MA we're "lucky," we have a paid family leave law, but municipalities are exempt, and none in MA voted to opt in. That's why municipal workers, like Boston public school teachers, don't get paid parental leave, instead we save up sick days. @CharlieBakerMA, let's change that.
