CM Web3 Markets is an information site for people learning about Web3.
Here’s what you’ll find:
• Live market data
• Project listings, with paid placements clearly marked “Sponsored”
• Free tools to compare projects and look up public wallet balances
• Plain-language guides on security and checking projects before you act

Security habit: 'verified source code' means published code matches deployed bytecode; it does not prove the logic is safe. Check permissions, upgrade paths and audit scope too.

An audit isn't a safety guarantee. It reviews a defined scope, and bugs can remain. When a project says 'audited,' do you check the report date and covered contracts?

Project lens: Safe accounts set owners and signature thresholds. Enabled modules can execute under separate permissions. For treasury reviews, check both the threshold and modules.

Security check: a token's ticker isn't its identity. Lookalike tokens can share names and symbols. Before interacting, verify the contract address using the project's official channels.

Unpopular Web3 opinion: a clean dashboard isn't proof of adoption. I'd ask how many people return because the product solves a real problem.
What metric would you trust most?

Project research: @ensdomains uses resolvers to map readable names to records such as wallet addresses. A useful due-diligence question: who can change those records, and how?

Founders: what's one thing your community helped you change in the product?
Not a marketing win—a real feature, fix, or decision.
CM Web3 Markets would love to hear the story and meet more teams building in public.

Project spotlight 🔍 @Filecoin
Filecoin uses storage providers and cryptographic proofs to support decentralized data storage.
The big question: When does decentralized storage offer advantages over traditional cloud services?

Before interacting with a token, check:
✓ Contract address
✓ Admin permissions
✓ Upgrade controls
✓ Token approvals
✓ Audit scope
Good research beats blind trust.

Before Buying a New Token: 5 Contract Safety Checks:
A token can have a polished website, active community and big promises—and still carry serious contract risks.
Here are 5 checks worth making before interacting with a new token. 🧵👇

5️⃣ Understand the audit.
An audit is NOT a safety guarantee.
Check the audit date, scope, unresolved findings and whether the deployed code matches what was reviewed.
Security reports help you assess risk—not eliminate it.

A wallet signature isn't always a payment.
Some signatures approve a token allowance, giving a contract permission to spend later.
Before you sign, check the spender and limit. Revoke approvals you no longer need.

In crypto, the biggest opportunity isn't always the newest token.
Sometimes it's understanding the technology before everyone starts talking about it.
Research first. Manage risk. Stay curious.
That's the mindset we value at CM Web3 Markets.
Unpopular opinion:
A Web3 project with 1,000 genuinely active users can be more interesting than one with 100,000 silent followers.
Community quality matters more than vanity metrics.

I built "Wallet ER" for the @PayBox Chapter 1 hackathon by @moonpay.
It catches risky token/NFT approvals before signing, investigates what a transaction changed, prepares revocations through PayBox, and verifies onchain that the permission is gone.
