Full-color 3D printing software. Turns images into prints using a handful of filaments. Prints What You See. Standard coming soon. @Bigcarpyy For my voice.
@forgedinprint Storage is a great place to start, since that's where a printer earns its keep fast. Practical prints are underrated. Hope the X Plus 5 treats you well, and I'd love to see what you make first.
@Here2LearnXD That's a really thoughtful process. Cleaning up reflections and shadows before building the point clouds makes a big difference. I'd be happy to share a side-by-side sample soon so you can see how my approach compares.
@rikarends@eyestudio Walls-only color is a smart trade-off, since you get most of the look with far fewer swaps. GPU slicing sounds like the right direction for full-volume color too. I'd love to see how it goes once you've tested it more.
@forgedinprint Nice, enjoy the unboxing today. Even with one color you can do a lot with filament swaps at set layers for signs like that. Let me know how it turns out.
@SnapStudioOs Holding the release until the tool-change fix lands is the right call. A purge tower that knows the material is a big deal on the U1, especially for prints that swap a lot, like the full-color work I'm doing with CMYKForge.
@FTactiks Love that split. The bot does the slicing and you keep the final call on hitting print. 6h 38m is a solid plate. What did it end up changing in the re-slice?
@eyestudio@rikarends Same thing I'm curious about. Color through the whole volume usually means every layer has several colors, so swaps add up fast. Keeping that manageable is a big part of what I'm working on with CMYKForge for full-color prints.
@MihaiDesigns That yellow linkage frame looks great for a first version. If I were changing anything, I'd make the bottom units easy to reach for spool swaps, since that's usually where stacks get annoying. How many units are you planning to stack?
@BamingoDesign@printablescom These are gorgeous, the detail in the sunflower centers really pops. Perfect bookmarks for fall reading, and thanks for making them free!
@TIBoine@RikOostenbroek The 4 heads really do make multicolor feel fast compared to swapping on one nozzle. First gen for sure, but it's been fun to see what people are doing with it. I'm building CMYKForge with machines like this in mind for full-color prints.
@fantamichal Snap is adorable, and that jump at the end is perfect. Low poly multicolor models are such a good showcase for the Core One. I'm working on the full-color photo side of multicolor with CMYKForge, and pieces like this keep me inspired.
@TheAluminumCarp Logos printed right into the part are such a clean finish, no peeling stickers ever. Nice work! If you ever want to try photos or full-color art the same way, that's what I'm building CMYKForge for.
@MarcusFarran@Creality3dP Same here, my purge bin fills up way faster than I'd like. Curious how no-purge color changes hold up on full-color prints, since those swap constantly. That's my world with CMYKForge, so any waste savings make a big difference.
@LittleRips3D Love this breakdown, it makes the how click for people. Fun twist on step 1: with cyan, magenta, yellow, black + white you can layer filaments to mix new shades instead of buying a spool per color. That's what I'm building CMYKForge around.
@ethanbutwoke@davidsven Agreed, the purge pile on a single nozzle adds up fast. Flushing into infill and printing a few copies per plate helps a lot. I deal with it too since CMYKForge full-color prints are swap-heavy, so a toolhead setup is on my wishlist.
@tomshardware One-click multicolor 3MFs should get a lot more people actually using their multicolor setups. I'm working on the photo side of that with CMYKForge, turning an image into a full-color print with just a handful of spools.
@comingconflict@prairiewonderer@Polymaker_3D Totally agree, skipping the purge on every swap is the big win with INDX. Load it with CMYK + white and it can blend full-color, photo-like prints too, which is what I'm building CMYKForge around.
