The database tracks repositories, owners, stars, forks, issues, pull requests, releases, contributors, and monthly activity.

From 2015 to June 2026: 2,087,445 records tracing the evolution of AI open-source projects worldwide.
CnDataSeed’s Global AI Open-Source Projects Database brings together 41 indicators covering repository fundamentals, monthly development activity, project ownership, and entity classification.
Available in CSV format, the database includes repository metadata, programming languages, licenses, Stars, Forks, Issues, pull requests, Releases, contributor activity, project types, owner accounts, entity categories, and geographic information.
The featured activity view tracks monthly active contributors, new Stars, and newly created pull requests—showing 6,519 total Stars earned, a peak of 877 monthly active contributors, and 60 pull requests submitted.
Open-source AI development is shaped not only by code, but also by the contributors, organizations, and communities behind each repository. This collection gives researchers material to examine how projects emerge, gain attention, attract contributors, and sustain development over time.
