Silencing a significant number of voters and erasing history is no way to unite us; it only further divides. Big tech & social media platforms want to act like media orgs but don’t want to be held accountable with the rest of media. Speech should be free whether you agree or not.
So it was a major assault on human rights when a small town baker didn’t make a cake for a gay wedding. But Big Tech monopolies using their power to silence all dissent is just a simple matter of freedom of association. That’s the logic. And it is insane.
Here are CNN and MSNBC hosts and guests defending violent protesters this summer. The same condemnation should occur for all violent protesters regardless of their politics. But that doesn’t happen in today’s media:
I cannot think of one Republican who has not denounced the Capitol Hill riot
I cannot think of one Democrat who has denounced the BLM riots
Make of that what you will
JUST IN: Former first lady Michelle Obama calls on tech companies to permanently ban President Trump from their platforms and put policies in place “to prevent their technology from being used by the nation’s leaders to fuel insurrection.”
@WadeLookingbill He has spoken out against it. I don't understand why people believe he is responsible for the riots? Be careful who you label as a good human. DC is full of terrible humans and Joe and Kamala are two examples. #theswampisdeep
What alot of people don't understand is that this movement was never about Trump. It was about standing up to preserve the very freedoms that we enjoy daily in this country.
LeBron is so oppressed that he's got enough money to buy up a team solely bc the current ownership group includes a white female senator that he dislikes. What a brave oppressed politcal figure you are LeBron.
Funny, I see many Republicans and Trump supporters condemning those who stormed Capitol Hill, but never once saw a Democrat condemn any BLM riots happening over the summer. How bout we address violence from ALL parties instead of just when it suits you?
The Capitol riots are wrong. But the Trump critics using this as proof that every criticism they’ve ever lobbed at Trump/his supporters has been validated is absurd.
