‘29 SS Barrett Grieve
The Bishop’s School
2 💣’s // 5 RBIs‼️
Strong first impression by the Fr. who reached base three time w/ two homers. Mature presence in his box, maintains balance thru finish. Moves well for age w/ sound actions at the SS position. Another ‘29 making noise, .300 hitter (50 ABs) to open up HS career. ⬆️ 👍

@CameronMaybin Sometimes the aesthetics don’t look good when you’re watching a game, but the run value analytics don’t lie!
Would love to hear Posey/Molina opinions on what they are seeing!
HUGE YEAR!
Quality Ab machine.
More walks than strikeouts.
.400 hitter.
True ace and Pitcher of the Year in a strong coastal league!
Awesome kid! Competitor.
📈📈📈
Clyde is starting to take off.
Athletic, repeatable, highly competitive. Strikes with 3 pitches. PLUS change-up that will be a difference maker at the next level. Has a plan and routine to get better. 📈
Also our starting SS hitting .380 (LHH)
Good student at rigorous school
‘26 RHP/ SS Clyde Kates of Bishop’s School
FB 86-88 MPH
CH: 76-78 MPH
CB: 74-77 MPH
Kates impressed over 6 strong innings, striking out 7 while pounding the zone early—sitting 86–88 mph through the first three frames. The junior also helped his own cause at the plate with an RBI single.
Happy National Catchers day!
Like a good umpire, a good catcher does not get noticed. It’s arguably the toughest position in all of sports, and one of the least appreciated. Pitchers get all the spotlight, and we’re OK with it!
