How many ears do you have? How many mouths do you have?
God wanted you to LISTEN TWICE AS MUCH as you talk.
Listen and say 'coach me coach'
- Nick Saban video from Tim Luckey
"I think the important thing that sports teaches is so many life skills. You learn - how to handle adversity, how to sacrifice, you learn discipline...and a lot of commitment. If you want to really be good, you have to be willing to make the sacrifice."
Uncoachable vs. Coachable:
Uncoachable players:
-Take it personally
-Feel they’re being singled out
-Become very defensive
Coachable players:
-Open to feedback/criticism
-Want to be coached
-See it as a way to get better

"The bible is very clear that the greatest form of love is discipline... I'm thankful that God made me in a way that I'm not afraid of confrontation and I'm not afraid of holding people accountable."

The Burkeville Mustangs defeated Alpha Omega Academy 48-38 Thursday Night. The win is also the 1st of the season and the 1st Homecoming win in 10 years for Burkeville. Congrats to my guys on the win.

It's not a line.
It's a measurement.
A measurement of commitment.
A measurement of sacrifice.
A measurement of respect.
A measurement of integrity.
A measurement of fortitude.
A measurement of effort.
It's a symbol to remind us that greatness lies in the smallest of details.
When MJ did not make his Varsity basketball team, his Mother did NOT:
1) complain to the school
2) call the coach
3) demand a meeting with the AD
Deloria Jordan simply told MJ “work harder.”

2-3 Zone Defense Tip - One of the Best Ways to LOWER Your Opponent's 3-Point Shooting Percentage while still making dribble penetration extremely difficult!
Watch how one of the zone defense coaches Al Marshall teaches how to defend passes to the wing...
That way, you disrupt 3-point shooters rhythm and ultimately lower 3-point shooting percentage. All the while, you still make it extremely difficult for the offense to penetrate the zone.
For those of you unfamiliar with HOF Coach Al Marshall...
Coach Marshall transformed a tiny public high school in Iowa into a storybook defensive juggernaut that…
* Ranked #1 in the state in defensive PPG for a staggering 8 of 11 years!
* Led the state 6 straight years in defensive FG%
* Held state tournament opponents to 29.7 points BELOW their season average!
* Won 86% of their games over 11 years.
* Held opponents to a mind-boggling 31.9 PPG one year!
