Congrats to three Wheaton seniors who have been a huge part in the resurgence of the Wheaton Baseball program.

Knights fall in the playoffs to Blake 1-0 in a pitching dual. Blake scored 1 run in the 1st. The Knights had a runner out at home in the 7th

Wheaton thumps Northwood 12-2 in the 4A North II opener. Like Poolesville, they still have their ace available Cole Williams (Salisbury) for Blake.

Blake scored off Williams earlier this spring but he's more than capable of rebounding. This could make for a competitive rematch.

At the plate he led off the game with a HR on the first pitch. He was 3-3 / HR / 2B / 4 RBI / 2 BB

Wheaton will play the winner of Blake v PB on Saturday May 13.

Wheaton falls to Einstein by a score of 6-5. The Knights made too many mistakes on the base paths to pull out the victory.

Derek DePasquale pitched 5 strong innings in relief giving up 2 earned runs.

Sophomore Nathan Moore had 2 hits and a run scored.

Knights defeat Rockville 8-3. Senior Cole Williams pitched all 7 innings with 0 er. He added 2 hits and an RBI.

Sophomore Abe Pedroza caught a great game and was 1-2 with 2 BBs and a game changing 2 RBI single.

Knights play at Einstein on Friday 5/5 for a 5:15 first pitch.

Knights take down Springbrook 12-2 on Senior Day. The Knights were highlighted by senior Daniel Campbell who finished 2-3 with 2 RBIs, a SB and multiple defensive plays in his first Varsity start.

He hit in his brother Kenneth who added his own 2B, BB, and SB.

Derek DePasquale(left) had 3 RBIs on the day for Wheaton. Had some crucial at-bats.

Cole Williams(mid) had a great start on the bump 4r/1er/11Ks through 5.2. Added single and 2 runs scored on offense.

Rich Amparo(right) had what the at-bat that scored the winning run in top 8.

Sophomore Abe Pedroza highlights the Knights outing vs Churchill. The Knights fell 11-0 but Pedroza held Churchill to 4r/3er through 5 innings. Wheels fell off for Wheaton in the 6th.

Next contest is at Gaithersburg HS on Wed Apr 26. First pitch is 3:15pm.

The Knights fall 5-0 to Blake. Cole Williams was dominant 6IP/2r/11 Ks. The Knights gave up a few runs late and couldn’t take advantage of multiple innings with bases loaded and less than 2 outs.

The Knights next game is at Einstein HS on April 22 at 2pm.
