"A HS freshman entering the wt room for the 1st time has 4 years of development. If he maintains 3 sessions a week for even just 40 weeks that's over 500 sessions. Why rush?" @ZachDechant
Movement Over Maxes: Developing The Foundation for Baseball Performance
One of the questions I get asked a lot is how female athletes should train/key movements to include into their program:
⏺ Full Squats
⏺ Full Chin-Ups
⏺ Full ROM Single Leg Work
⏺ Plyometric Landing Mechanics
⏺ Full Push-Ups
That’d be a majority of my program right there.
Poliquin's 6-12-25 Method
An example 7 day week would like the following:
1: Chest and Back
2: Legs - Deadlift Emphasis
3: Rest
4: Shoulders and Arms
5: Legs - Squat Emphasis
6: Rest
7: Repeat
Random Jabroni: But coach, isn't that bodybuilding?
Me: Yes

The squat is a pattern not an exercise. The question isn’t if a 🏀 athlete should squat it’s how do they squat & if they can’t why not? Dose (loading, frequency) & delivery system (exercise) are athlete dependent. In the end those that can’t bend may find themselves on the mend.
Aspiring Coaches...
-Credibility is currency
-The best way to get the role you want is to be great at the one you have
-Coaches want to hear about what you’ve done not what you think.
-Building relationships > Networking
-The “big time” is where your feet are right now
“ Breathing is great, mobility work is great but, intelligent strength and power training is the most important thing an athlete should do”
Stay focused.
Attention athletes working out at 5 pm is just as impressive as working out at 12 am. What matters is that the work gets done not when it gets done. Sacrificing your sleep, recovery & performance chasing clout on social media doesn’t make you a “grinder” it just leaves you tired.
Why the Sled March has become a staple
✅Horizontal 1Leg strength much like running/skating
✅Forces hip extension, which most athletes could use more of
✅Very little eccentric stress, causing little soreness = ideal in-season
✅User friendly➡️it’s really hard to do wrong
