All sports mask mandates need to go back to saying no mask while actively playing but wear on the sidelines/bench/spectators it should be worn. Let’s be realistic and do the right thing. @allieberube @GovernorTomWolf @CommissionerJP@SenatorMartinPA
This might surprise you... it will certainly surprise every news organization in the country currently reporting that 1000 people died yesterday!
1000 people did NOT die yesterday from COVID-19.
The country has not averaged 1000 deaths/day since August 15th. Take a look:

Standing atop the graves of 225,000 dead Americans to take political jabs is a disgusting tactic under any circumstances, but it’s especially absurd during a *global* pandemic.
It is divisive, hateful, opportunistic, and all that’s wrong with our politics today.
Pre-COVID epidemiological wisdom:
"For pathogens that inflict greater morbidity at older ages, interventions that reduce but do not eliminate exposure can paradoxically increase the number of cases of severe disease by shifting the burden of infection toward older individuals.”
Some grace for today on this shaming platform: We’re all born ignorant with a lot to learn. Most people really are just trying to do the best they can. May the radical acceptance of our own journeys, flaws and all, inspire our continued learning/awakening. May love cover shame.
So many dumb apples to oranges comparisons happening here. You can't compare flu deaths in the presence of a vaccine and no social distancing to covid-19 deaths in the absence of a vaccine and the deepest lockdown in American history.
