ANOTHER VERY BUSY BIRD MIGRATION NIGHT... 19 MILLION THROUGH PENNSYLVANIA!
If you looked at the radar overnight, you may have noticed a lot of "rain". But, did you know the radar can detect other things than just rain, snow, and sleet? Last night was a busy bird migration night, and the number of birds was picked up on the NWS Pittsburgh radar! There are estimates of around 19.2 million birds that crossed through the state last night, which is now one of the busiest nights this spring!
Tonight is expected to be another busy night for migration, where millions of birds could take flight across the state. The next few nights will be busy until the cold front sweeps through on Wednesday. Keeping feeders clean, providing fresh water, and reducing outdoor artificial lights at night can help support migrating birds along their long journey.
🐦Have you seen any unique birds fly past your yard lately? Feel free to share any pictures in the comments! #PAwx #Pennsylvania #Bird #Migration
I can’t wait to read a post-event report where the “elite” players are left off of it when they didn’t play well. There has to be someone out there watching the games who is willing to evaluate with their 👀! As soon as we start reporting the #Truth kids will play the right way!
We start every practice at every level with 2 ball for 5min warmup. I believe it forces the “strong” hand and “off-hand” to work together. I am a firm believer it has helped our teams limit turnovers and improve our “off-hand”.
A few thoughts on 2-ball dribbling....
The best point guard I ever coached didn't like to do 2-ball dribbling. He played in a Final 4 and played professionally.
Another time... I asked a player development coach (who worked with NBA players) why he did 2-ball and 3-ball dribbling with youth and high school players, and he said... That's not for me. That's for them.
The coach meant that the objective was to incorporate a quick 3 or 4 minute task that peaked their interest, kept things fun, and got them engaged.
I'm not anti-two-ball-dribbling as long as there is a specific objective and two-ball dribbling is one of the best ways to accomplish that goal.
What are your thoughts on 2-ball dribbling?
@CoachCG6@Wendi_Irlbeck Starting to believe the “latchkey generation” really wasn’t so bad.
