@SEANDURGIN Do not use @StubHub . This is becoming the norm with them. And even when you point out the scam… they pointed to their policy and tell you have to wait until three hours before game time at which point you will be offered different tickets than the ones you previously purchased
Jalen Brunson post Game 4: "Before we start…
My thoughts & prayers are with a friend of mine I got to meet last week. Jonathan from North Carolina. From Make a Wish Foundation
They asked me to make a video. But something told me to Facetime…
I got the pleasure to do so…Quick call but well worth it.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family…
May God rest his soul"
(Reporter asks question)
Jalen (can't answer): "Sorry…"
@MikeSielski In a career of great writing interspersed with light hearted trolling, this is one of your best. Meanwhile - 99% of the people didn’t realize that you didn’t link a column and that you’re joking, but they are also probably the 99% that wouldn’t have read the column anyway.
One day you’re gonna wake up and AAU basketball will be over. No more weekend tournaments, packed gyms, or team hotels. No more “one more game” next weekend.
One day you’ll be out of eligibility for high school basketball. Then college basketball too.
And eventually, the thing that feels like your whole world right now becomes a memory.
So stop playing scared. Shoot your shot. Sprint the floor. Dive on the loose ball. Compete with confidence. Enjoy your teammates. Because one day you’ll wish you could go back and play just one more game with them.
Fear and hesitation have ended way more careers than missed shots ever will.
Just something to think about.
San Antonio libraries have launched a “Read Like Wemby” campaign, featuring Victor Wembanyama’s favorite fantasy and sci-fi books, per @MirinFader.
Children can read books that their favorite player reads. Since the launch, nearly 160 books have been checked out or put on hold.
That’s awesome 🙏
@franfraschilla We are 5 years into this now. Any pretense of developing players or people has long since left the building . It’s a reaping business. Not a growing business
@On3 The same people that think Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame will be racing into these comments to defend this kid because he “ just bet on his own team.”
@OleTimeHardball Did he know ahead of time that betting on his games would keep him out? Was he given dozens of years/ opportunities to admit it and come clean? After lying for decades, should we then believe he didn’t bet against his own team?
@Mike_Jagacki Very effective idea that he took from Vance Wahlberg when Vance came to Memphis to install the dribble drive offense before Derek Rose’s freshman year
