Appreciate what these girls have put into the last 11 months. They allow me to do what I love & they brought a school/community together in a way that gave people lifelong memories. Never said it’d be easy, but I did say it would be worth it! #TLSTE 🏀 #family Done. Next.
Rick Pitino is right.
Every player’s hourglass runs out faster than they think.
The practices. The games. The grind.
One day… it’s all gone.
Cherish every rep. Every moment. Every opportunity.
Don’t waste your sand. ⏳
Rick Pitino was asked what stops people from being great. His answer was one word.
"Ego stops greatness. I call it edging greatness out."
"In a spiritual sense, ego is edging God out. But ego is edging greatness out."
And he made a key distinction:
"I'm not talking about confidence. You have to be a confident person."
"But ego really gets you to where you think you've arrived. You think you know it all. You stop learning. You stop listening."
That's the trap. Confidence keeps you hungry. Ego convinces you that you've already made it.
You lose your hunger and humility.
"Learning and listening are important for great leaders. Great leaders have to listen and they have to continue to learn and surround themselves with people that are better than them."
EGO = Edging Greatness Out
The moment you think you've arrived is the moment you stop growing.
Stay confident. Stay humble. Never stop learning.

@BuckeyeChi5 Cavs tried this vs pistons 2 weeks ago and refs gave pistons 3 shots on a prayer they threw up while being fouled. Refs calling this different now, it’s a risk & something coaches need to practice w/ their kids (fouling a dribbler right when ball leaves hand toward floor)
@rarerookies Really a chance for Miami to put themself in a different class and they did not. Their kids did that after beating a .500 mid major team in overtime. Great game though both teams and season by the Miami squad
