@SportsKshsaa@KSHSAA State Track 6:50am and security is setting up metal detectors and gates are closed. Athletes can’t get warmed up for 7:45 events, check in implements,……. Security says they don’t know how they are going to check all the bags and things teams are bringing.
From a HS 🏈 coach:
I decided to actually study one of our senior football players on film. I broke down all 10 football games and charted the number of plays that he was on the field defensively throughout a game, and I also timed each play (snap to whistle) in which he was physically active. I thought you might like to see this.
This young man (linebacker) was on the field for an average of 47.6 plays for a total amount of "active" time of 3 minutes and 51 seconds (3:51). The majority of the plays lasted between 3 and 5 seconds. There were a few games in which he didn't play in the 4th quarter, so these numbers may have been higher, but I do not see the kid ever playing more than 5 minutes of football.
Just took me back to those "old school" days where we would run them forever and for reps of 20 - 30 seconds, and the whole time it was doing more harm than good LOL.
@pntrack This is great stuff Coach. What you do away from the track and the school is so critical in building young men and women into great members of society. Solid life lessons is also the “tide that lifts all boats.” Keep up the great work, Coach.
“I want guys to run Track in the Spring. It’s hard to manufacture that level of competition. It’s You vs. the Clock. When you get out on the track and compete you’re going to get better.”

@MAGAVoice I’m sorry, but they have been giving White House tours. My student group toured last June. Hopefully more of the house will be on these tours, but we did get to see much of the public space last year.
🚨 To Elon Musk and the DOGE team looking at Medicare:
Pharmacist says
- Cancer Medicine Imatinib costs them $7 to buy. They add $10, so you're out the door for $17
- When Medicare pays for this drug, IT COSTS THEM $2,400
- This drug was filled 250,000 times in 1 year costing Medicare $600 million
“If every one of those scripts was filled at our pharmacy instead of through Medicare, it would've cost $4 million. That means that we are $596 million cheaper than the insurance. That's crazy.”
“So why are they paying this much for that medication? Well, insurance companies pay a middleman, the pharmacy benefits manager, and that person decides how much that medication's gonna cost”
- 3 Pharmacy Benefits Managers control over 90% of all prescription pricing in America
- Pharmaceutical companies bought all 3 Pharmacy Benefits Managers
They set their own pricing, Medicare pays ASTRONOMICAL prices and taxpayers pick up the bill. This is a racket.

Football players - Once your season comes to an end, introduce yourself to your school’s track coach.
It may be better for your football career than you could ever imagine!
Who is the MVP in the life of a Coach?
The Coach’s Spouse.
Coaching is not easy. And being the spouse of a coach can be even harder.
- They sit alone
- They hear the critics
- They see the highs and lows
What makes the Coach’s Spouse so Important?

Cole Pladson was a big part of Clay Center’s (3A) postseason run last fall. As a junior, the QB averaged 19.2 yards per completion with 1207 passing yards and 480 rushing. “I’m excited to play one last season with the guys I have grown up playing with. We are looking forward to making another run in the playoffs.” Pladson said.
Pladson is a three sport athlete standout winning Sports in Kansas All-State honors in football, basketball, and baseball including the 2024 All-Classes ⚾️ POY. Pladson is one of the top recruits in the 2025 class and is committed to play baseball at Oklahoma State.

If you are a decision maker in your school district, stop having trainings to ‘help’ teachers build more resilience and perseverance. So insulting!
Instead, remove tasks from their already full plate! #EdChat

HS 🏈 at its worst. This was sent to me from SEC country this morning.
2 miles of conditioning will diminish cats and might literally kill big kids.
#MindlessConditioning
A one-way HS 🏈 player will play 5 minutes and stand for over two hours in a HS 🏈 game.
Speed and explosiveness wins 🏈 games, not endurance.
0% of HS athletes have hit their ceiling of speed. This conditioning will ensure that no speed gains will happen for at least a week, maybe longer.
When I asked the guy who sent me this picture for permission to post, his classic reply…
“Yea I think that would be fine. I’m pretty sure the HC doesn’t follow you, based off what’s on that board.”
