Vic Hernandez is a highly respected figure in regional gridiron culture, best known as the founder and administrator of the prominent Long Island Football History digital community. He acts as a dedicated historian, archivist, and community leader, preserving the legacy of local football from the pee-wee ranks through high school, collegiate, and professional levels.

Through his platform, Hernandez documents everything from legendary teams to notable alumni across Nassau and Suffolk counties. He consistently highlights historic playoff runs (such as the 1999 Amityville and 2019 Freeport championships), honors long-lost local greats, and hosts discussions on the best players in specific school histories.

In addition to his archiving work, he expands the sport’s reach through hands-on development. For instance, he helped announce and organize the inaugural Long Island Football Clinic, which connects the region’s rich gridiron tradition with youth development by offering position-specific instruction from experienced alumni and coaches.

We develop talent. We educate players on the recruiting journey. And we have a proven record of identifying what college programs eventually see.

Logan Fabian is loaded, and one of the next.

Class of 2030 QB. 6’2”, 185 pounds. Long frame, live arm, high-level movement ability, and the kind of natural quarterback talent that does not happen without obsessive work behind it.

8th grade. Built like an upperclassman.

Logan can throw from structure, escape it, reset his platform, and still deliver the ball with touch, velocity, and timing. He changes arm slots without panic, throws accurately on the move, keeps his eyes alive under pressure, and already shows the poise to work through a progression.

The ball comes out clean. His weight transfer is advanced, his back hip drives through the throw, and he can change speeds without losing accuracy. He throws with anticipation, understands windows, layers the ball over the second level, and has enough arm to rip the deep out from the opposite hash.

@PrepRedzone identified him as a Top Performer at his position and described his arm as a shotgun. @NxgnCamps also had him among the top prospects in their program. Two major evaluation settings. Two separate staffs. Same conclusion.

College coaches have told us directly what we already believed:

THIS IS A DIVISION 1 QUARTERBACK.

He is just beginning to enter the camp circuit and visit schools. The offer sheet is quiet right now.

It will not stay that way.

Long Island Elite Football proudly congratulates Coach Anthony Confredo @AnthonyConfredo on being named the 2026 Blood Cancer United Visionary of the Year.

Anyone who knows Anthony knows this honor fits the man.

He has always used his relationships, influence, resources, and reputation the right way: to help people, connect people, and serve something bigger than himself.

At Long Island Elite, we talk constantly about relationships above all. Anthony lives it without needing the spotlight.

He is a mentor, a coach, a leader, and one of those rare people who brings strength, loyalty, and action into every room he enters.

Inside our organization, we call him D.O.G.E. — Department of Gridiron Efficiency — because Anthony gets things done. But his greatest value has never been a title. It is his character.

Blood Cancer United’s Visionaries of the Year campaign recognizes leaders who rally their communities in the fight against blood cancer. Anthony did exactly what Anthony always does: showed up, brought people together, and moved the mission forward.

We are proud of the award, but even prouder that the recognition matched the man.

It wasn’t a social call. Last night I opened the cottage to a small group of fathers and sons.

Not every player.

Not every family.

Just a handful of young men that I believe have the potential to play Division I football someday—and whose families always reach out to me, ask questions, seek guidance, and genuinely want to learn.

A lot of people think recruiting starts in high school.

They’re wrong.

Most recruiting mistakes happen years before recruiting ever begins.

Years ago, most families knew almost nothing about the recruiting process.

Today, information is everywhere.

Families hear pieces of the process from coaches, social media, other parents, former players, and recruiting services.

The challenge isn’t access to information.

The challenge is knowing what matters, what doesn’t, when to do things, how to do them correctly, and having the discipline to execute consistently over time.

I see players and families make the same mistakes every year. They hear part of the process, apply it incorrectly, focus on the wrong priorities, or make half-hearted attempts and expect elite results.

Many people hear pieces of the Blueprint.

Far fewer understand how all the pieces fit together.

Every young man in that room is someone I believe has the potential to play Division I football.

What impressed me most was the willingness of both the players and their parents to seek instruction, ask questions, accept criticism, and pursue growth.

Most people want validation.

Elite performers want feedback.

Most people see an offer graphic.

They don’t see the years of decisions, conversations, corrections, sacrifices, and habits that came before it.

For three hours we talked about standards, development, recruiting, leadership, and the uncomfortable truths that separate dreams from plans.

No promises.

Just honest conversations about what it actually takes to reach the next level.

Everybody wants Division I results.

Very few are willing to hear Division I standards.

The future is bright for young men willing to work obsessively and remain coachable, humble, and TEACHABLE.

A good evening.
