How often have we heard this?
Often, coaches critique players' technical actions without considering the game cycle.
What a player does before receiving the ball greatly impacts their actions.
Let's break it down👇
Defending the player without the ball by the right full back. He protects the space behind him, in front of him, and is ready to press if the opponent makes a pass. This is top-class defending. Imopeksis- “yellow defending”
Zonal defending without correct defensive player behaviors in that zone and correct application of the individual defending principles will always be just zonal defending and will make any positional play look like a master piece.
