New luxury is slowly forming around the “inconvenient”. Mending services still exist (or were ur gma) but the price is the same price as a new one.
Same with cars. You need the luxuries of time, offline network and other resources to keep a 70s Porche on the road as your dd
people used to get appliances repaired, clothes mended. its significantly cheaper & easier now to get a new microwave off a cargo ship from shanghai than to find a handyman who will repair one for you. the global logistics system is a star trek replicator with a 0-2 day lag
@IterIntellectus If these are from VAERS then any event that happened after a vaccine was given could be logged here. I’m sure plenty of people caught colds after getting their vaccines/many of the first to get vaccines were the old and infirm who are more likely to have any adverse event at all
@lexfridman If you want older, interesting, and slightly risky:
1980s Porshe 944 (or any 911 if Porshe)
Toyota MR2
Dodge Viper GTS or RT10
Corvette C4
Lotus Esprit V8 twin turbo
Aston Martin DB7 vantage coupe
Acura NSX (90s = best, but new would be fun also)
Motorcycle may also be fun.
@mjlavin80 An interesting part of these network manipulations is the role of those controlling the network. Reddit's stance on /r/the_donald (one of it's most manipulated forums) forum has always been hands off. I imagine mass content manipulation is a hard ethical and practical problem.
