Most infielders have multiple arm strokes, the result, inconsistent throwers. Over 50% of errors are throwing. In catch play strive for precision within every throw feeling your center separation point and feeling your tight V take away.

What offensive stats have the highest correlation to wins?
- Effective + proven
Anything that stands out / surprises you?
"High On-Base % teams apply pressure on defenses"
High school sports are so much more than wins and losses.
They’re where you discover grit, perseverance, and what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Every practice, every game, every teammate; these moments shape you for life’s toughest challenges.
For all of you “athletes” running away from … or trying to hide in the weight room… this is a pic of the GOAT - Michael Jordan. LIFTING … all season long and YES, regularly on NBA GAME DAYS.
Note: Read what MJ’s trainer said in pic below. Note: pic and story Credit IB Network and Tim Grover
KEY!!! **** Lifting helps wake-up and ignite your nervous system to be ready to compete! You don’t have to go ballistic (no maxing out in-season), but you should get your body ready to perform at an elite level!!!! … while maintaining strength that you will critically need throughout the entire season to be at your best.
Of course continue to execute flexibility routines, eat healthy, hydrate, and put your phones away at night and sleep. 8 plus hours if possible.

Machado drop step backhand
Get your eyes behind your glove, watch it all the way in
Errors typically happen when we pull our eyes off the catch too soon or we don’t get our eyes behind our glove at all

Always loved this clip of Lindor
BP is a great time to work on your prep step even if you don’t get a ground ball. Nothing beats live reps/looks
If you’re looking, there is always a chance to get better at your craft

If you can’t play catch, you can’t play. Plain and simple.
If you didn’t know by now, @MorganStuart18 and I keep it real. No tiptoeing around subjects to avoid hurting your feelings. When you reach a certain age, balls should be thrown consistently in the chest every single time when you’re playing catch. If not, you’re not focused/working on it enough.

I had games where I threw 90 fastballs in 100 pitches. Games where I threw everything I had the first time through the lineup then mostly fastballs the rest of the way. Games where I didn’t throw an off speed until the 3rd of 4th inning. Games that I gave up multiple runs in the first but shut them out for the rest. Games of shutout ball until the 7th only to lose by one run. Games where I didn’t have my best stuff but had to battle for the W. Games where everything was clicking but ended up with the L. Seasons when I was the worst on the pitching staff. Seasons when I was one of the league leaders in multiple categories. Seasons with double digit wins. Seasons with double digit loses. Seasons that ended in disappointment and seasons that ended with a ring.
I pitched professionally for 14 years and got a cup of coffee in the big leagues. One thing I learned is there is absolutely more than one way to succeed. Anyone that thinks they have the answers and knows how the story will end is someone mistaken. Give your best everyday, keep looking for ways to get better, be the best person you can be and trust the process. Things will go how they were meant to go.
Love this drill from @DBU_Baseball
Working on closing space and creating space in a small environment. Add different types/colors of balls to make it more challenging
Great drill for teams who are stuck inside due to weather in the fall or spring
