CDA is a Regional Development Authority established by an Act of Parliament to plan, co-ordinate and implement integrated projects in Kenya's Coast Region.
The official launch and adoption of the Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani Blue Economy Multi-Agency Action Plan (JKP-BEMAP) 2026–2030 marks a major milestone in advancing the Blue Economy agenda across the coastal region.
The framework is set to strengthen intergovernmental collaboration, mobilize investment and partnerships, priorities that CDA has consistently championed.
Today CDA joins other stakeholders in Mombasa for the launch of the JKP Blue Economy Multi-Agency Action Plan (2026–2030), a key milestone in strengthening the region’s Blue Economy agenda.

CDA Ag. Md, Dr. Mwanasiti Bendera, today received a courtesy call from Mwanasha Gaserego the founder of #Tuwajali Wajane Kwale Initiative (CBO), established in 2020 to address the social and economic challenges facing widows in Kwale County.
Dr. Bendera reaffirmed CDA's commitment to empowering vulnerable groups in the meeting, noting that the Authority's mandate places special emphasis on improving the welfare of women, youth,people living with disabilities and children through inclusive development initiatives that leave no one behind.
"As we mark International Widows' Day on June 23, we recognize the resilience of widows and reaffirm our commitment to supporting programs that promote dignity, inclusion and economic empowerment for women in our communities," said Dr. Bendera.
In Kwale County, over 800 participants are expected at Mivumoni Market Grounds, Ramisi Ward, Msambweni Sub-County,for theInternational Widows' Day celebrations.
The event will bring together government agencies, financial institutions, religious leaders and other stakeholders to showcase services and opportunities for the community.
