Today reminded me of something I have felt throughout this journey, there is a hunger for change in Delta State and across Nigeria, and it is becoming impossible to ignore.

Standing alongside His Excellency @PeterObi, His Excellency Senator @OvieOmoAgege ,@VictorOOchei, Olorogun Ominimini Obiuwevbi, leaders and members of our dear party, what struck me most was the spirit of the people. You could see the hope in their eyes, but you could also feel the frustration of people who know that Delta and Nigeria can be so much more than what they are today.

Our people are not asking for the impossible. They want to work and see the reward of their labour. They want businesses to thrive, young people to have opportunities, families to live with dignity, and leadership that understands the weight of the responsibility entrusted to it.

How long do we continue to tell our people to endure when they are simply asking for a country and a state that work?

Everywhere we go, the message is becoming clearer. There is a hunger for something different. A hunger for progress. A hunger for leadership that puts people first.

This journey is bigger than any individual. It is about what Delta State can become and what Nigeria can become when the potential of our people is finally matched by the quality of leadership they receive.

The hunger is real. The hope is alive. And the people are ready to be heard.

I don’t think political parties, CSOs and Nigerians are doing enough to hold INEC accountable.

Right now, INEC is the institution with the greatest responsibility for making the electoral process credible. Politicians will always look for loopholes to exploit.

We need the Martin Luther King Jr. approach: organized, peaceful and sustained civic pressure.

And we need the Malcolm X approach: aggressive, guerrilla-style advocacy that is unconventional, relentless, disruptive and impossible to ignore.

INEC must fall in line. Do the right thing. Open up the system.

2027 must be different.

1. Has the Federal Government connected Onitsha, the largest open-air market cluster in sub-Saharan Africa, to the national rail network?

2. Has the Federal Government linked Anambra to the Gas Master Plan?

3. Has the Federal Government designated the Chinua Achebe Airport as an international airport? President Tinubu designated Muhammadu Buhari International Airport in Maiduguri as an international airport—likewise, the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo.

4. Has the Federal Government allocated strategic funds for expanding the Onitsha River port? Or for dredging the River Niger?

5. What international brands have you attracted to Anambra with support from the Federal Government? No global manufacturer, auto OEM, pharma MNC, FMCG giant, or even a brewery has established a confirmed greenfield plant during your tenure.

6. How much FDI have you attracted to Anambra? From mid-2023 to date, Abia ranks among the top three Nigerian destinations for recorded capital importation with $150m, while Anambra remains at zero.

Sir, there is no harm in supporting President Tinubu, but Tinubu is leveraging his relationship, and you have gained nothing from the Federal Government apart from a visit by the First Lady.

You mocked an international FDI in Anambra undertaken by your predecessor, but after five years, you have attracted no FDI based on official figures you can verify.

After all the noise dies down and you no longer have a state-funded media team, this is how you will be judged.

It is a scandal that @KukahBishop & @KukahCentre who promote this idea of #PeaceAccord at every election have kept studiously silent as @OfficialAPCNg has threatened to kill, maim, cut off the hands, & abduct the wives of voters in different parts of the country.

Bishop Kukah should go on record to say whether his Peace Accord is a serious thing or a design in the service of the ruling party.

If it is not the latter, then someone should tell him that his silence is very eloquent & his Peace Accord ritual is worth less than the price of tissue paper.
