Yes Aristotle says as much at the end of the Nichomachean Ethics...we need go to politics. Same true for moral education/supports...many still stuck thinking it's only/mostly concerns the young...big mistake I think...many of us seem to go backwards with age.

The understanding of 'self' must transcend the narrow focus of exploring early family dynamics & extend to surveying the wider social world by which the family (& in turn, the self) is fundamentally configured. Any psychotherapy ignoring this is but a partial exercise.
