Homeless Addict ➪ U.S. Navy Nuke ⟡ I study advanced nuclear propulsion systems and create solutions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of reactors.
Yes, I was a homeless addict 12-18 months ago.
No family.
No friends.
No income.
No desire to live.
I needed to turn my life around.
What did I do to get where I am today?
Here’s my step by step process of how I made a complete 180 in a year.
Four months ago I decided to leave X behind.
I used X as a justification for my habit of addiction.
I will no longer waste my time.
Now, I stand proud as a Nuclear Electronics Technician for the U.S Navy.
Dont expect me to post here regularly.
Do expect me to share my story.
@itscristabraun I'll continue to look to build something unique including within a specific niche and targeted audience.
I want to build something amazing and eye opening one day, not learn how to build something others have already built, even if it's one other person.
It’ll click one day.
I’ve been gone the past two weeks, so let’s have a talk.
I found success and further scalability in another sector of my life that still includes web development.
I will put my full focus in that for now and return to X or maybe YouTube one day later this year.
My brand website is still a go, and will continue to be the primary location for my brand, as I view social media as more of marketing avenues than the brand itself.
But, as for now with personal branding, I burnt out.
I came into X thinking I could build something unique.
Turns out everyone is building the same thing.
This sector of X is trying way too hard to become a freelancing or income generation platform.
It make it near impossible to find genuine connections, trust, or a real authoritative figure.
Honestly, I've spent more on here than I’ve earned, although the valuable lessons on what not to do in the future was worth every cent wasted.
However with that being said, I spent about 7 months on X and haven't made it to the point where I can travel and be self sustainable.
So that is now my priority.
As much as I would love to share every step of the journey with you guys, at the end of the day, it is my journey, and I’m the one that has to pass away with the nostalgia, memories, and regrets I’ve made.
So, my shift goes towards automating my web agency Pixel Perfexion, where my actual source of revenue comes from.
I have plans to come back, but now is not the time.
Until next time.
- Jeff
Sometimes, the world whispers in our ear, asking for a pause.
An adventure on the road or in a good book, is a respite we owe ourselves.
Let this be a reminder to cherish these moments, they are the fuel to our innovation.
As the sun rests, my ideas keep racing.
Another week of coding, traveling, and innovating behind me.
I spotted a shooting star - nature's way of telling me to keep pushing.
As you gear up for the weekend, what's that one light-bulb moment from your week?
Got a weekend lined up that's packed with purpose.
Running tests on my website that will act as my brand's HQ.
I must make sure this website is jam packed with my highest value resources.
Then, my focus will shift back to engaging and messing with new forms of content.
The hustle doesn't stop when the weekend comes knocking.
It's a checkpoint, not an end.
Keep striving, keep climbing.
That's the DNA of the truly driven.
We don't wait for motivation, we create it using our discipline.
Ever think of your website as a tireless marketing and sales rep, working 24/7?
It's not just an online business card, it's an engine geared to reel in prospects.
Fixing up your site isn't convoluted.
It needs a bespoke strategy.
This is what your site absolutely needs that a lot of people miss out on:
1. Know Your Visitor's Pain Points.
Each click is a step towards a goal or solution on your site.
Be it to download an eBook, sign up for a newsletter, or make a purchase.
Map their problem out, refine a solution, and create one repetitive call-to-action to give them an easily accessible funnel to dive into.
2. Embrace Simplicity.
Visitors shouldn't need a map to get around your site.
Most likely, they’re already lost as it is.
Straight forward design and easy to understand vocabulary always wins over technical gibberish.
3. Power Up with SEO.
An invisible site?
No deal.
Optimize every possible nook and cranny for search engines.
Use keywords your audience is searching for, but avoid stuffing.
This goes for within the content itself as well as the metadata of the content and files for the website.
4. Engage with Quality Content.
Your site should be a two-way street, not a monologue.
Reach out with engaging, valuable content.
Be the go-to resource they won't ignore.
Content ideas can include blogs, lead generating resources, newsletters, and interactive projects.
Communicative ideas can include testimonials, reviews, ratings, contact forms, or social media integration.
5. Test, Analyze, Adjust.
Your website should grow overtime, much like your audience here on X.
Use analytics to measure its performance.
The smallest changes can make the hugest impact.
A/B Test every little aspect of everything you create.
These minor improvements compound to make huge changes over the months.
It's very scary.
Be careful with your investments, make sure they are not bound to be lost in the event of the loss of our digital world.
My best investments were:
- Solar Power
- A home on wheels
- Alternative sources of fuel to operate from (propane, gas, diesel, wood, solar)
- My weights and diet plan
- High profile networks for direct inside information
Facebook along with all Meta associated apps just went down about an hour ago.
This is just weeks after majors ISP’s were hit in a nationwide cyberattack.
Do you think there’s a correlation?
This should definitely change the perspective of the need for advancing cybersecurity.
@JburdBrand I don't either.
That's why self sufficiency is so important.
We are here to make the most of this digital world while it lasts, but we must have alternatives in the case that we cannot access the internet or forms of communication in the future.
It was definitely confirmed a foreign cyberattack a couple weeks ago, when all the media falsely blamed the ISP outages on solar flares.
Then last night, I lost my Verizon service once again, went into SOS Only mode in middle of the night. Unheard of in New Jersey.
I've never seen such instability with these companies before, and it seems to be only affecting companies and services that provide forms of communication.
We should all be working on forms of self sufficiency within our businesses in the event that growth rate of our defense is not adequate enough to prevent the increasing growth rate of these attacks.
Think of your content as the fuel for your SEO engine.
Consistent, quality content is loved by search engines, leading to improved rankings.
It's not just stuffing keywords, it's about providing value.
The better the value, the better the visibility.
AI and digital marketing are shaking hands.
Personalized ads aren't dying, they're getting an AI upgrade, and the ROI is remarkable.
Quantum computing is taking the game to a new level.
Your thoughts?
Monday's here, not as a threat, but as an opportunity.
This week’s roadblocks?
They're not there to stop you.
They're there to make the journey worthwhile.
Don't just live through this week.
Own it.
Hone in on your problem solving skills.
New week, new tech goals.
Fresh off a week of bug-busting and code-crunching.
This week's goals:
1. Get brand website ready for launch
2. Test other's apps and websites and provide feedback or hands-on adjustments if needed.
What do your goals look like for the week?
Ever noticed how your computer never gets jet lag?
Turns out, the internet travels at the speed of light - nearly 300,000 kilometers per second!
So digital nomads, rest reassured: your email will beats you to your next destination.
Well, as long as you have connection that is.
@MoFocus7 Myself included at times.
I get addicted - no... obsessed with the work that I have to force myself to take a step back.
But when I do, I feel like a million bucks and its shows within the quality of my work.
Diving into a world of Super Monkey Ball and GameCube this morning.
Big projects and even bigger dreams, yet I know when to switch gears.
Amidst the endless coding, I find pauses to roll around in a virtual world.
Balancing heavy work and enjoyment is the key to my lifestyle.
