The first thing I check before buying a token is the contract address, not the ticker. Honeypot flags and taxes matter, but wallet concentration is often where the real risk sits. Here is the scanner I use:

@james_pumps@xstocksmine Legit isn't just a nice website. Try selling a tiny amount first or check the contract for sell tax and a working sell function, plenty of these look fine until you actually try to get out.
@T0mdrum@launchonCME Classic approval scam. The token needs a spending approval before it lets you sell, and whoever holds that approval can drain or block you. Worth scanning the contract first: https://t.co/Qxb48Wl110
@HOLDdotCOM@dingen234@Pablo_cro@BleevesOfficial Worth checking three things before trusting it: ownership renounced, holder concentration, and liquidity actually locked. This checks all three fast: https://t.co/NoR0QzdIFa
@CowboyGecko Rough way to learn it. If that wallet still has anything worth saving, revoke old approvals first, drainers often leave standing allowances behind so they can come back for round two even after the obvious stuff is gone.
@MageArez If the LP got pulled that is not some clever drainer contract, it is just the deployer holding most of the pool and removing it whenever they want. Worth checking if LP tokens were ever locked or burned before you buy in, not after it is already gone.
@HOLDdotCOM@dingen234@Pablo_cro@BleevesOfficial Hard to say without the contract. Check if sells clear in a simulation and what the tax is, that is usually where legit looking ones fall apart: https://t.co/Qxb48Wl110
@richydarrah@TrustWallet Good point, but approval checkers do not catch everything now. A lot of recent drains go through signed permits instead of a classic unlimited approval, so the wallet looks clean on Etherscan yet is still exposed. Worth checking permit nonces too.
@KryptoCipher@ai_trading_frx Usually one of three: sell tax near 100 percent, a transfer blacklist, or pulled liquidity. All three show in the contract before you buy. I run a free checker for this: https://t.co/NVTF7Y2feD
@xrootdev From chain data alone you cannot. Freeze authority plus default frozen accounts reads the same either way. The separator is off chain: who holds the authority, are they named, regulated, contactable. A scanner can flag the power but not the intent behind it.
@nftcutie@youngjazzeth Twice usually means the first cleanup missed something. Old token approvals survive a new browser and a new device, they live on the address itself. Worth revoking every approval you do not recognise, on every chain you have used, before moving funds back.
@IvanovaSegura@m477lander@phantom@base What makes it worse is that most dapps still request unlimited approvals by default. One swap from months ago can leave an open allowance big enough to empty the balance, and nothing in the wallet UI ages it or flags it.
@aa626625@m477lander@phantom@base The naming is the problem. Delegation lives on your account, allowances live in each token's contract, so no single button can clear both. Until wallets show them side by side, most people will assume removing one removed everything.
@albrightdfirst@m477lander@phantom@base Disconnecting only stops the site reading your address, nothing changes on chain. Each ERC-20 allowance lives on the token contract, so you revoke per token and per spender. Etherscan's approval checker or https://t.co/0B8qENvkX0 both do it, one small gas fee each.
