@QuinnyPig Kinda scary that at the end of the day it works mostly because a few humans trust each other. All this technology and at the lowest levels we kinda have to trust a few other guys to make sure the routing tables and dns servers are usable.
@LowLevelTweets Tbf the goto in the 60s was a different goto than we have today. Most likely he was talking about jumping to any point in the code without any checks enforced by a high level language which almost nobody does today.
the biggest problem is that most people in this space talking about model's performance were not good programmers to begin with and don't even know what good is.
@ThePrimeagen@LowLevelTweets How else you gonna get promo if you're not re-writing packages all day long and inventing middleware frameworks in the mid 2010s?
@ThePrimeagen I don't know what's a bigger crime, the crimes that random employees will be committing cause they have prod access now or the crypto it's doing it with in the first place.
NVIDIA officially announced the 12GB version of their RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, and we're happy to share that we have a new Graphics Module for Framework Laptop 16 with it. This is our 3rd Graphics Module, and we're living up to the promise of graphics upgradeability in a laptop!
@FrameworkPuter I'd rather have a new linux framework 13 pro. Last time I got a dell a decade ago it was a lackluster experience for a laptop to say the least.
When people talk about optimization, I see why. This is so much memory to allocate to a launcher. They need to drop this down to 1/100th of this footprint. 2+G? Should be a few tens of MB at most in this day and age.
