I think @AsideAI AI browser/harness is one of the most powerful consumer AI tools you could possibly use with your agents, wherever they are
Aside MCP exposes deep browser use tools with credentials that make any agent much more powerful
i saw this team from day 0, but they’ve never gave up. keep making something what people want with resilience. at the end of the day, something magic happens. @hyojun_at@hiddnest@dora_lee_1344 love u guys
yesterday I joined the @VoiceOSApp hackathon while speaking English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese lol
we built Monica, your AI big sis who yells at customer service so you don't have to
we didn't win an award but our team really loved building it haha
huge thanks to the @VoiceOSApp team and @kai_brokering for organizing!
this is exactly what I want to solve for the next few years; we need to invest more time in building an inevitable consumer experience like apple, facebook, youtube, uber, airbnb did - who made the silicon valley today. need lots of creative ideas and talented founders to change ppl lifestyle. maybe, no more SOTA model needed to change the world.
Hot take… isn’t it kinda crazy that nobody is really using AI Agents? I don’t mean software engineers or AI early adopters. I mean “college friends talking about it in group chat,” the feeling you got when everyone started using Instagram or TikTok.
These frontier AI models are *insane* (as are the harnesses & tool calls & the like). And every large tech co has an AI agents platform, not to mention all the YC startups doing vertical agents. Yet all of your friends and family outside of tech — who spend all day staring at their iPhones and get paid to work in browser tabs — don’t really care or find themselves using any AI agents yet.
Yes ChatGPT, Claude, etc. are extremely popular… but if you look at the engagement data the vast majority of people are still using these aI chat tools like a glorified Google + Grammarly. That’s why the AGI labs are all pushing desktop apps for Codex, Cowork, etc. so hard to non-technical ppl. And yes exceptions for lawyers and customer service but even those have some asterisks and exceptions to rule.
Look I’m not saying the ChatGPT moment for AI Agents is not coming… it most definitely is! Remember we pivoted from Arc to Dia precisely because we believe computing is going to be radically reimagined around these AI primitives. No doubt. But that’s my point: it’s just so surprising it hasn’t happened yet because all of the tech you’d need is there.
Again if you stop for a second and think about it… for all the press and money and hype and models and crazy ARR numbers… this “AI Agent” moment does not *feel* like the other breakthrough tech moments we’ve lived through (e.g. think the shift to Stories via Snapchat & Instagram, or shift to on-demand via Uber/Airbnb/Doordash).
Which is a long way of saying: if you can figure out the answer to “why” most people don’t care about AI agents yet (and have no enduring interest in using them) — especially since the models and harnesses are here and ready — the answer to that question will allow you to capture a lot of marketshare and make a lot of money in 2027.
Theoretically, the tech is ready for AI Agents to totally transform how we work and live our lives… but alas the general public dgaf… that’s the generational puzzle to solve for the next 12 months for anyone not working on the models themselves.

quick question : do consumer founders really need to grind on x, or is that mostly sf founders FOMO? maybe helpful for getting a fundraise & hiring, but not sure it makes the PMF or more users in the pre-seed stage.

AI service sales on Hollywood's Main Street -
made two deals in 1 hour with 66% conversion rate from cold visits! Here's the story:
Over the last few days, we were searching San Francisco for our first customers—businesses or influencers wanting to establish global social media channels. However, every meetup and networking event was filled with AI engineers. We couldn't find a single Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok creator.
Instead, people recommended we go to LA, the entertainment capital and home to countless content creators. So, we bought a ticket at midnight and took a 6:00 AM flight with just a single backpack and our Osmo Pocket.
We first went to UCLA and USC to find student creators, but we failed. It was summer break. After spending half the day without finding a single potential customer, we took our last chance and moved on to Hollywood. We turned on our Osmo camera and started talking to everyone on the main street who looked like a creator or business owner.
We walked into a random tour guide office and asked, "Do you need a global TikTok channel to bring in customers from around the world?"
They said, "YES." It was the first "yes" of the day and our very first "yes" from a US customer.
The owner was already running an Instagram channel with 190,000 followers and spending $4,000 a month on marketing. However, his business was too focused on English-speaking customers and needed to attract international visitors to scale. He wanted to create French, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean-friendly social media channels to bring in new customers.
We showed them our demo videos and they agreed to let us run their channels in five different languages for $100/month per channel. Although they required a proof-of-concept period and some samples, we had secured our first commitment.
After that, we visited two more tour offices in Hollywood and proposed the same deal. In total, two of the three offices we visited converted, giving us a 66% conversion rate.
We thought our core value was: "Make your own global social media channel in 50+ languages with AI." However, the business owners didn't care about AI or fancy technology. They only cared about one thing: "how to bring in more customers at an affordable cost." That's all that mattered.
We still need to experiment more to find our ideal customer profile—it could be content creators, B2C app marketing teams, or tour offices. But the process is clear: set a hypothesis, talk with potential customers, find out what they need, and then propose a solution. Price and revenue come last.
Once we find the right customer profile and make them happy, we can scale to a wider range of clients like travel marketing agencies, hotels, resorts, airlines, etc.
Our journey to find customers has just started.
