if you desperately want to quit your 9-5
please do this first:
> pay off all non-mortgage debt to minimize monthly expenses
> save a cash reserve to cover cost of living (I saved 2yrs of expenses)
> have a fallback plan: "if X doesn't happen by Y date, get another job"
why are you stressed?
all you have to do is:
1. validate app ideas
2. build one with AI
3. market for months on reddit, tiktok
4. create content to build an audience
5. launch on ProductHunt etc.
6. realize no one wants your app
7. pivot to new ideas
8. repeat steps 1-7
Building for yourself feels productive… until launch day hits and no one shows up. Ask the market. Your gut is not enough.
Speaking from experience (and $63 in sad app sales).
@_mattwelter I literally built my 1st app around this exact purpose
to annoy the fuck out of myself with email reminders until I go work out (and it's been surprisingly effective)
what's up Pat - this sounds awesome! here are some projects I built with the help of AI tools:
> a Discord bot to detect impersonators in large community servers (this is a huge problem in certain niches, have caught 1,000+ scammers since deploying)
> a habit tracker with an annoying reminder system to help keep me accountable: https://t.co/moCppRqFh1
> a tool to help people get out of debt faster, using the same concepts I utilized to pay off $50k in ~3y after college: https://t.co/HbmVmIu1Q3
> N8N workflow for my gf (photographer) to turn viral tiktok trends into blog content & tweet ideas for her business: https://t.co/OocgQQeFpt
> a slideshow generator for tiktok (this one's been a huge learning experience) to organically promote my apps, been testing here: https://t.co/brGyOTdEA4
bonus:
> I've grown a twitter account to ~40k followers/youtube to ~20k subs (in a completely different niche) but I have lots of experience making content
> I'm often visiting family in FL just a couple hours from Tampa, would happily make myself available for content collabs! 😉
