@AFCNorth_Talk@NewStripeCity All these dudes hate on Baltimore because they’re a well ran franchise with an elite QB. Bengals, elite QB, terribly ran franchise. Steelers terrible QB, well ran franchise. Browns terrible QB, terribly ran franchise.
A few schedule nuggets I found interesting
🏈 The 2026 Bills are the 1st team ever scheduled for 5 primetime games vs inter-conference opponents. No other team has ever been scheduled for even 4
🏈 The 2026 Seahawks are scheduled to play on 6 different days of the week, becoming just the 2nd team since the merger to do so (after the 2024 Chiefs)
🏈 The 2026 Ravens are only the 3rd team since 1983 to open their season with 7 straight games against teams that finished below .500 the year before (others: 2025 Panthers & 1983 Falcons)
🏈 The 2026 Packers and 2026 Seahawks are both set to host 5 primetime games. Only 1 team has ever done that before if we include flexes: the 2008 Chargers
🏈 The 2026 Dolphins are the 1st AFC team to be scheduled for more FOX games than CBS since the CBS-AFC deal began in 1998. The 2023 Buccaneers were the 1st NFC team to be scheduled for more CBS games than FOX since the FOX-NFC deal began in 1994
@RavensSalaryCap@Obafemi30@Lj_era8 Thanks, Brian! Do they currently have the space available for a market setting extension as well as leaving a pool of cap aside for PS elevations and small in season moves?
@Obafemi30@codeymcgowan@Lj_era8 An ext would def decrease LJ8’s 2027 cap #. But after the restructure, he now has a minimum salary, so any ext would increase his 2026 cap #. W/ an ext, present salary is rolled into the new bonuses, which helps reduce the present cap #, but the restructure has already done that.
@Obafemi30@Lj_era8@RavensSalaryCap I can’t remember the exact mechanics of it but when the restructure happened Brian mentioned the while it created a lot of cap room if they wanted to sign him to an extension this offseason they’d need to save some of the cap the restructure created to execute the extension.
@Obafemi30@Lj_era8@RavensSalaryCap Not exactly lol. I think I need our cap wizard on this one. I really enjoy your commentary around the team though, Femi. It should be a fun season. September can’t come quick enough
@Obafemi30@Lj_era8@RavensSalaryCap Yes, I understand that the 27 cap number would come down. But when they restructured they took the 26 base salary down to around $1m. Brian said at the time that they would need to use 26 cap to get an extension done this offseason. Im wondering if they still have the cap to doit
