No, this doesn't undo #Prop50. The trigger language was removed in the legislative process as it was clear that TX was redistricting. So, even if their map is invalidated/postponed, the Prop 50 maps stay in place.

For 40 days, President Trump and Republicans refused to negotiate a bipartisan budget deal that prevents healthcare costs from skyrocketing. In CA50, 28,000 people will face higher costs if we don't extend ACA tax credits. We cannot afford to wait, yet this deal does nothing to address this crisis. 

We also have no assurance that the President won’t continue to disrespect and ignore appropriations law. He already did it, with no pushback from Speaker Johnson. How can we trust him to spend the funds as directed by Congress now?

When Speaker Johnson finally brings the House back into session on this, I'm voting no.

I'm so glad that students care enough to wait in this line, but it makes me sad for 2 reasons:

1) When I led @SOVACUCSD 2015-16 (and helped thru 2019), we registered students to vote during move-in & door-to-door (and encouraged vote-by-mail when it wasn't automatic).

Yes, people can vote as long as they're in line before 8:00pm when the polls close, but they shouldn't have to wait.

The Trump administration has a rainy day fund that will keep SNAP from expiring in November. Trump is refusing to use it.

Funding SNAP isn't a choice he can make. It's a legal obligation. @USDA must release the funds and stop punishing the American people.
