A @TampaPD police program, started under Jane Castor, urged landlords to evict hundreds of tenants after arrests. Of the 1,100 tenants flagged in the program, 90 percent were Black. Entire families lost their homes even when charges were later dropped. https://t.co/oVB5Gx77RO
Heartbroken over the news of the passing of @TBTimes_Bulls. Joey was a talented writer and even better person. He took tremendous pride in his coverage of Team Tampa Bay & @USFAthletics. I especially loved his long form writing on helping introduce new members of our sports community to our area and also his stellar coverage of so many tremendous human interest stories, including our local prep scene. His work was beyond meaningful and impactful. We are forever grateful. USF Athletics will plan to honor his lasting legacy starting with today’s home events. Rest in peace, my friend. 🙏

@WadeJeremy76 This would go a lot quicker if you read the story. It’s about Florida’s top health official contradicting his own health department and another cabinet member. There are already plenty of stories out there on the benefits and risks of raw milk.
@WadeJeremy76 Both have their perils @WadeJeremy76. I don’t know if you read the story but it highlights that since raw milk cannot be sold for human consumption in Florida, the state is limited in how much it can regulate and ensure sanitary conditions in its production.

@elle_kaye11@lmower3 Hope Florida is not a charity but a state funded program. It has a 501C3 foundation for fundraising. That said, the number of nonprofits that have taken advantage of donors and the people they are supposed to serve is legion. Media oversight is a constitutionally protected role.
