Edmonton, Canada has begun the process of becoming a 15-Minute City.
Mayor Amarjeet: We need a "cohesive city"
Travel will be restricted. Daily needs will be within a 15-minute walk. And of course Big Brother will eventually be watching.
But don't worry, it's a conspiracy theory.

During the lockdowns, we traveled to a lake as a family and took a walk along the shoreline. We weren't the only ones there, but for hours, we only saw a few people and didn't come within many yards of anyone. When we were leaving, an officer happened upon us and told us that we had to leave because the area was closed due to #COVID and we had to leave. Furthermore, he told us that he should actually be fining us for being there, but he didn't and wouldn't as long as we left. Poor guy was reluctantly kicking people out because of the "authorities."
I look back at this and realize how stupid the entire handling of this was...and every time I think of our excursion now, I hear Judas Priest playing in my head. 🤣
One wonders if the "Real Harvard Degree" becomes the sole indication of authority/expertise to some, as opposed to the dedication to a lifetime of learning, eh @jordanbpeterson?
I taught at the Extension School for five years, when I was an Assistant/Associate Prof at Harvard, and it was a privilege to do so. The students there, mostly adult, years or even decades older than the regular Harvard undergrad were exceptionally committed, diligent and interested. They were a pleasure to teach and worked hard for their degree. You're a snob, Ms. Delgado, plain and simple, and you have a lot to learn.
Bright you may be, but you have all the arrogance that is the prime temptation of intellect. And pride goes before a fall.
WATCH: At a press conference Tuesday, San Francisco Mayor @LondonBreed announced new legislation to require people with substance use disorders to seek treatment before the city provides them financial support.
“No more handouts without accountability,” Breed said.
Hmm, interesting take @NebraskaMegan
So, you are saying when we "grow up" we should stop trying to achieve being the very best in what we do. You are saying, when you get older, just quit fighting for young women in sports.
It can be hard, when we're young, to not win a trophy sometimes. But we grow up and realize it’s not the end of the world and we don't need to turn that loss into our entire personality.
The Grand Jury has acted upon the facts and the law.
No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.
Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.

@POTUS I paid 53% taxes on my Tesla stock options (40% Federal & 13% state), so I must be lifting the average!
I also paid more income tax than anyone ever in the history of Earth for 2021 and will do that again in 2022.
@CommunityNotes, is the 3% number cited above accurate?
