Had a fantastic time in Boston - was there just long enough to give a reading and to meet a great group of writers at Boston Writing Workshop. Now a couple of days of rest before heading to Montana this weekend! #bosww

I don’t mention Soul’s Road often enough. It includes my short story “Telephone,” and it’s a great mix of tales including pieces by @natashaoliver @karenhugg @islaisreading @Icess and more

Loving @HightowerLaurel's CROSSROADS which is well worth the advance hype. And for those of you reading it; watch out for the appreciative nod to @codytluff's dystopian nightmare RATION, one of the best novels of 2019 and also essential reading.

"The Platform" on Netflix is a grueling, less than subtle, and excellent way to devour an evening. The social commentary of wealth distribution and inequality is plain as the nose on its face but it is engrossing and gross all the way. @codytluff I was reminded of "Ration"

Great new review of RATION by @codytluff on Amazon. "This one hits all the right notes. A bleak future, with a poisoned, exhausted Earth. Unnamed calamities that decimate humanity. A claustrophobic, horrific setting." Read the full review here: https://t.co/3wWUNudf9R

I am thinking about you today. All of you who are a little afraid or quarantined. You that already felt separated. Let's make a fire over twitter, I will tell you stories to keep the darkness away, I will hold your hand with words.

@ellle_em I was pulled through a barbed wire fence by a horse. She bit my shoulder, yanked me through the wire and smashed me to ground. I was out cold for a few minutes. Woke up with gravel in my teeth, a concussion, and bloody barbed wire tracks over most of my upper body. Fun times

What makes a villain truly sexy? My students were discussing Joker a few days ago in class. They came up with "the right kind of crazy". What's your take?

A skunk moved into the empty burrow beneath my writing shed. Scented candles just make it seem like the skunk just made it home from a trip to Lush.
