At @desy#UsersMeeting2020 P21.2 satellite meeting to present @vinnovase funded high temperature in-situ SAXS/WAXS studies during ageing of @OvakoGroup hybrid steels https://t.co/NEgLjD5fqP
Early X-mas present from @desy Beam time at P02.2 for the coolest experiment I dreamt up so far granted 😃3 days of high pressure diffraction hunting phase transformations at 20 K with friends and colleagues from @ChalmersPhysics, @essneutron and @MAXIVLaboratory
Open Day at NanoMAX @MAXIVLaboratory. A chance to present a new sample environment to my colleagues and visitors. Good for potential industrial applications as well @MAXIVINDUSTRY
@BMatB@SKorteKerzel Also, employers usually top up the money from social security, in our case to 90% of salary for the first 180 days. For student on scholarship on the other hand there is in principle nothing, which is why e.g. my uni doesn’t allow it. All students must be employed.
@BMatB What @SKorteKerzel said pretty much applies in Sweden too at least for students which are employed (which is the majority of STEM students). Total 480 paid days/kid, so double for twins, most of it can be shared btw parents. Fundingwise depends on source.
This year the Areas of Advance Award goes to Martin Andersson, Pernilla Wittung Stafshede and Fredrik Höök for their cross-disciplinary work on developing a unique method to analyze the structure and chemical composition of proteins. Congratulations! https://t.co/LV2wxQin4n
Cross-departmental effort at Chalmers needs a post-doc to develop self-consistent crystal plasticity models for analysis and prediction of in-situ diffraction experiments. Chalmers Industrial and Materials sciences @ChalmersPhysics @essneutron https://t.co/abqp8QAZYv
Through magic twist angles and unique energy states, it is possible to design tailor-made, atomically thin materials invaluable for future electronics. Researchers at #ChalmersUniversity and #RegensburgUniversity have shed light on the ultrafast dynamics. https://t.co/JobMIJI8cV
Successful first commissioning session of nanoindenter at #NanoMAX beamline @MAXIVLaboratory transmission diffraction w 55 nm resolution for strain field mapping during deformation of thin film systems 😁 @ChalmersPhysics @AoA_Materials@gudrun_lotze@anan_here
